Instructions: Unpack the .rar file, and copy and paste all the files from the .rar file into the corresponding bike folder. That means: all the .wav files, the engine.scl file, and the .sfx file.
However: if you want to install a sound mod into a different bike (example: applying the STK1000 2014 Honda CBR1000RR Sound Mod to the Road Honda CBR600RR), copy all the files except the .sfx file. sfx files can be specific to each bike, and mixing up .sfx files can sometimes mess up the sound. Do take note however, that sound quality may still vary from bike to bike when sounds are correctly transferred to different bikes.If: the bike is a default one, (example: "varese_v594") or if it comes in a .pkz file, simply create a folder with the exact same name as the bike, and place the sound files there.

What is needed for GPB is a steady , flat rpm 4-5 secs

Have you looked at a program called Automation? It allows you build engines, and dyno them. The spec to which your engine is built determines EVERYTHING, including sound. Try that program, I'm pretty sure it'll work wonders for GP Bikes usage. You'll find the program on steam early access, or where the one-eyed sea raiders lurk about (if you know what I mean).

Just so I'm clear: You can leave an engine running at X rpm for as long ass you like, and your design has a direct effect on every aspect of the engine with the Automation program.

I have Automation, and you can't build L shaped, desmodromics twins with carbon exhaust :p
And, how can you extract the sounds produced in the test bank ??
If they are .bnk you need bank extractor
How about an official sound database? If someone finds something usefull you can post it there. Or we can make videos from our bikes and put the samples into this database. And if someone finds something at youtube, you should post the link into there. Just a little idea :)

Sure. I did not mean that. Just some good recorded sounds. E.g. my 125cc 2-Stroke or a 1000cc sound. Just so the mod authors have a selection. If you do some kind of tutorial how to record a good sample, some will give us those samples. I would record something from my bike, if you say how.

Not at all :). By default, the turbo whine actually can't be detected in third person. First person view is where the whine is. The files are now uploaded to Mega (link is in the first post). See for yourself.

yeah I know :). I just mixed the two up linguistically, seeing as how the difference didn't matter much. All we care about is the "turbo whine", not the fuel efficiency, haha.

I've not made any changes to the "whine". that file is in it's default state as released in V1.1 of the H2R mod. It sounds different when actually riding the bike in-game. Try it in all three camera modes and see. Perhaps the video is misleading.
Just tested it out, and it's quite perfect. the supercharger whine can be heard in the video because of the angle I recorded the footage in, however In third person, and when watching the bike at a distance, the turbo sound cannot be heard at all. It can only be heard when riding in first person.
Your sound is quite good UC, but not exactly perfect.
The deep rumble sound is good but then destroyed by the higher pitched sound as if it was 2 seperate bike motors. The supercharger whine is fine.
My win10 just updated and I can not play the dang wav files on anything so wonder which file is for the higher pitch of the motor?
The deep rumble sound is what is missing in many bikes, for some reason folks think that high pitched toy sounds are what bikes sound like but I cant remember one with such high a pitch lol. Can you try it with only the depper sound and the whine at all.

If you'd like to remove the higher-pitched sound, delete the "sb2_onthrottle" wav file. It's there for authenticity, seeing as how the real bike contains a similar sound as a component.

I deleted the sb2_onthrottle.wav and the onmid.wav too and find it better for my hearing. It is a deeper sound as should be and now it is almost a "raw power" sound than a high reving sports bike sound.
My GPB is playing up so will do a video after a reboot, bloody win10 updates this week killed me puter not lol

DDs was a personal change, and won't affect anyone else's motorcycle. as for Ride 2, their bikes lack the required acoustic depth to be palatable for GP Bikes. Ride 2's sounds are OK, but there are better solutions out there, and they are coming.
I'm working on a more realistic pitch for the "sb2_onthrottle". I think you guys are all gonna like the following update.

EDIT: So I tried it and it still has that sound that makes it sound like 2 different bikes at the same time. It is not your work UC it is the lack of good samples from the real bike to make the wav files right. Is better though and I did give it beans...................................

Sounds like you messed it up. Delete all the sound files in your bike folder, as well as the "engine.scl" file. then download
all the files from the link, and paste them in.

Maybe I should just upload one zip file, instead of all those wav files and an scl. That way, folks can't make the mistake of forgetting a file or two upon download.

Thanks man, I went with a stronger sound over a higher-pitched top-end because:
1) We certainly all love the sound of
poweeerrrrr2) Personally, I didn't wanna sacrifice a deep power sound for a screaming top-end.
I can tune the sound a bit more, but churning out three mods in three days has tired me a bit. Problem is, once I start working on something, I just can't stop. I become addicted :'(. If I decide to tune it again, it'll be another day, lol. I wanna take a small break. Although knowing myself, I'll probably be back at it way sooner than I expected. Hell, I might even release another mod a day or two from now. I hope I allow myself to rest instead, haha.

Edit: I looked into it, and I found no problem. I'm pretty sure you didn't install the mod correctly. Re-download the mod, and re-install all the files. copy-paste over the old ones.

Haha, the onboard is really nice too. But the replay sound is also important, because during online sessions with other players, riders need to be able to enjoy the sound of your bike as it screams past them.

Sure thing bro. Red-line isn't needed, so no need to stress your engine in that manner. For now, I think you need only record 4 or 5 sound samples:

No prob. You can upload a youtube video, as long as you feel it will sound good. "engine idle" is the sound the bike makes while it's on, without you touching the throttle.

Yes, you can use the sound mods with any bike(s) you want. However, the sound will vary from bike to bike, because different bikes' engines behave in different ways. For example, I chose to make the R1 sound mod specifically for the SBK R1 and not the WSBK R1M, because the R1M revs up and down too unrealistically, and causes the sound to pitch unrealistically. Of course you can still use the SBK R1 sound mod with the WSBK R1M without any problems.
So: if you'd like to use a sound mod with any other bike, you can.

Well, I do it like this, I will record with my recorder plus mic. and also I will setup my actio cam. The audio will be from the recorder, so I will record it at the same time. It just depends on you, if you want it with the video or without, the sound quality will be the same.

The dry clutch chatter is a component of my mod, but blended into the rest of the engine sound. I can magnify it, but clearly that would deviate from reality. At least - it's not present in any of the videos I've seen, or the ones above, the likeness to which my realistic sound mod does in fact adhere

Hahaha. If you want it so bad, stick it into 6th gear at 40hm/h, and twist the throttle. There you'll get all the chatter you could ever want as the engine struggles to do what you've asked from it. Seriously: try it out. It's mildly sadistic, but I think you'll love it, haha. But maybe (just maybe) at some point I'll send you a custom engine file fitted with your competition clutch.

Updated the first page with instructions on how to apply sound mods, as well as how to apply the sounds to different bikes
Instructions: Copy and paste all the files in each .rar file into the corresponding bike folder. That means: all the .wav files, the engine.scl file, and the .sfx file.
However: if you want to install a sound mod into a different bike (example: applying the STK Honda CBR1000RR Sound Mod to the Road Honda CBR600RR), copy all the files except the .sfx file. sfx files are specific to each bike, and mixing up .sfx files will mess up the sound. Do take note however, that sound quality may still vary from bike to bike when sounds are properly transferred to bikes for which, the sounds were not intended.

Just transfer the Cagiva Mito sound mod (without the .sfx file) to the GP500_Cagiva_C592. Sounds pretty much like any 500cc 2-stroke.
That would be like putting a moped engine on a fireblade...

The default Varase 500 also has a "pretty much" sound too, so why would I want to do that?
We want "realistic" 2 stroke engine sounds, not "pretty much" engine sounds. :P

Bug Update
Please note: There seems to be a funny bug in GP Bikes that messes with sound samples when the game's Master Volume is set above 50%. Currently, it would seem the "GP500 Varese V594 Sound Mod V1.21 (Cagiva C592 500cc 2-Stroke Engine)" is most affected. Above 50% master volume, the game starts doing funny things with the audio. However, every other sound mod seems fine with the game's master volume at 100%. Until Piboso fixes that bug, the Varese 2-Stroke sound mod will need to be used with 50% Master Volume. Unless of course, you don't mind the way it sounds at 100%. In which case: pretend I never made mention of any bugs.
The bug might be exclusive to my system though, so you might not experience it. My headphones feature 7.1 Channels, so I suspect that has something to do with the bug I'm experiencing.

Instructions: Unpack the .rar file, and copy and paste all the files from the .rar file into the corresponding bike folder. That means: all the .wav files, the engine.scl file, and the .sfx file.
However: if you want to install a sound mod into a different bike (example: applying the STK1000 2014 Honda CBR1000RR Sound Mod to the Road Honda CBR600RR), copy all the files except perhaps, the .sfx file. sfx files can be specific to each bike, and mixing up .sfx files can sometimes mess up the sound. Do take note however, that sound quality may still vary from bike to bike when sounds are correctly transferred to different bikes.
If: the bike is a default one, (example: "varese_v594") or if it comes in a .pkz file, simply create a folder with the exact same name as the bike, and place the sound files there.

Hi Didiet. You don't have to quote the entire first post. It's a large wall of videos and text :o.
As for more sounds: Continued work on new sound mods will depend on the kind of bike mods there are. If none of them happen to interest me, then the chance of me taking the time to make sounds for them will be quite low.
Would love to see a sound mod for the 2018 mv WSSP bike :)

Overseeing a build of a one off, highly customized, flat track BSA 1950's 500 single.
This Australian ex-racing machine runs a home made high lift cam. (made in the 50's by the owner. R.I.P Harry Sly).
(I'll have to whip up a valve timing diagram and 70 years later, see just how "on the ball" Harry was)
Theres no time restraint on the build but when shes done I might grab a few sound bites of it.
The one thing I can confirm is that she cracks like a .50cal goin off flat biscuit, echoing up in them thar hills :)
