Any indication as to exactly what those parameters actually do in the simulation to give us a better understanding of what to look out for with any improvements in that area?

Thanks for the speedy update Piboso, appreciated.  ;) 8)

the lowspeed thingy doesn't seem to work for me.

rear suspension / swingarm flex feels way better now but the front is still too stiff and dancing around like crazy under acceleration.

Yeah, interested in knowing (if possible).
Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any diff in the bike parameters (.cfg, .engn etc). Are the new params in the .tyres ?

Hey guys! Bought the game a few days ago. I am addicted now! Huge Motohead myself, I am just amaze by the pure enjoyment from this game! There is a bit of a learning curve but man!!  8) I was so tired of all the Milestone titles. I love the physics! That makes me smile so much because I get it! I found that game randomly on Youtube. So glad I did! That Katoom RC16 is my baby! so fun to ride!

Installed the Motogp sounds from Urban Chaos 2.0. The OEM ones are junk! Sound like a vacuum cleaner with an old pair of socks stuck into it. I am ready to pay for any sound mods! That game is such a blast!! Is Urban Chaos 2.0 still around?

Installed reshade 3.0 . Worked with no issues.

I do play Rfactor 2, Assetto Corsa, Raceroom, Dirt Rally... but everything is more fun on  2 wheels!

Stay awesome!

Seems that leaning works the same way as in mxsim now e.g. if i lean right bike stays in that position even if i move stick back to 'neutral' (centered) position and bike starts to lean left only if stick goes left from neutral. This is fucking bad. Is there way to make it work like in old betas?

0 and 15 are low direct steers so the virtual rider has more authority, use 60 or 70 and it should follow the control stick

i'm not getting anywhere with the mods folder.

I've created a new folder on my C: called mods. Edited gpbikes.ini to point to this folder. I understand the game should then create another subfolder within here called GPBikes where I drop all the bikes/helmets etc? Well it's not doing that, so i've tried creating it manually, tried creating the folder within the main GPB folder and can't get any mod bikes to display....

Love the simplicity of this update  :o

Connection lag when somebody else joins is a real big problem now... it freezes completely for around 5 seconds.. after it sorts itself out the bike appears further up the track or crashed in the gravel.. nothing you can do about it  :-\

Agree it is worse (I don't have 5 seconds but definitely worse).

Also the new rider is not a ghost bike but just a ghost name only  :P spooky

Seems like Im not the only one who got in here bcs of being tired with Milestone games. I have installed recently LAA HAck and I can now play my favourite Donington Park track (which is FANTASTIC). I now wait for Daytona bike and I will have orgasmic pleasure with the game :-D

One thing I miss is simulation of gravel traps. When riding on them they feel identical to grass. The bike is not shaking/moving sideways.

The only way , is to find the beta which correspond to your replay , install it , and play the replay

This! ;)
Version 12 had a reasonable 1 second lag as my son joined in but yeah, 12b has a 5-8 sec timeout that finds me in the weeds once game recovers. Unacceptable in 2017.

Not even mentioning the 9-12 fps on several track sections now.. What's that?
(even with all game graphics set to minimums: system specs below)

I've been sim racing since Papyrus in 1997 and find GPB among the top 3 sims in terms of physics and feel.
Whereas my $28US was well worth my current 6 months of GPB enjoyment, what do I have to pay to further development of this stunning sim?

Tell me P, I'm sure all of us would pay it!
Respectfully.. VF1

Looking at GP Bikes | stats servers and looking at competitors i see for example 10/25 on screen if i click it i only see 6 competitor names.
why is this? does the GPB server also need to be on highest bandwidth setting?
We also have this issue in game when you have set bandwidth in game settings too low it only shows a maximum of 6 riders on the grid then.

No, it's on track too.

[Edit] - Just switched to the default helmet and it had a shadow on-track.  Then switched back to the one I had before and now it also has a shadow on-track.  :)
But for the last few days it hasn't.

Yup no more racing for while.
We tried with bandwidht setting 2 (high) and no improvements in comparison too bandwidth 3 (very high) same bouncing.
One thing i noticed on bandwidth 2 was in replay the bikes stutter more, as it was before b12.
On bandwidth 3 (veryhigh) the stuttering in replay is less.

Having problems starting this. I last had the Beta build from March (my file was dated then as the install date) I recently upgraded to this 12b version but core.exe won't run?

I installed it into "F:/" and there is a gpbikes folder. I did buy this, register the license etc before that comes around..

I see: controllers, docs, plugins folders and a whole load of files. It has been a while what on earth do I do? Do I need to install on my C: or something?

I deleted the previous installation from where it was, and redownloaded the beta12b.exe.

EDIT: Reinstalled to the default installer location, everything is fine now.

@Piboso - have you raised the off track grip level a bit for Beta 12? It feels like you have. It would be nice for us to be able to remove the extra artificial grip we put on Mod bikes if you can confirm?

There was no direct change of the grip.
However, the extra grip could be due to revised collision detection on soft surfaces.

That's mod-related, and it could be due to missing tyre files, that was the cause in my case as well.  Do all categories fail or just a specific group?
