Title: Rider Lean and Menu Button
Post by: DreadedKane on October 03, 2018, 03:53:27 AM
I really like the idea of controlling the rider forwards/backwards and left/right lean using the position of the VR headset. Currently I have to press a button to lean forwards and/or backwards but it would be awesome if we could literally tuck in behind the windscreen.

I would also like to be able to assign the menu control to a button on my controller so I don't have to fumble around for the escape key on the keyboard when I have the headset on.

Regards,
Dreaded Kane

with the last beta, you can link the rider lean to Track IR, i think using open track you can convert VR translation/rotation into Freetrack output wich is used by track ir.

It is already possible, I've tested and it kinda worked, but can't recall if that was GPBikes or MXBikes but I think maybe both now. Under Free Look is "Face Tracking" the VR one?

I tried using Face Tracking for Free Look but it didn't do anything. According to the unofficial guide, it's only used to turn the rider's head: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=431.msg2997#msg2997 (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=431.msg2997#msg2997)

It's on Input 1, called "Rider Tracking".

That's it, thank you!

I had to mod "Rider View" in the bike editor otherwise my face would go right through the dashboard when tucking.

Here's a vid of me testing out rider tracking:
