I ´m using ofenFoam v8 and yes it output also CL on front end rear axles which I will post later.
I also plan to simulate internal flow (cooling) to compare its effect and some older bikes maybe too.

Hi!

I just done CFD simulations of 2020 motogp bikes and I want to share my results usefull for modders.
My results based on moto GP models from motogp20. I didn ´t simulate internal flow (cooling).
SO here are result:

Desmosedici20  : CDA=0,262 / CLA=-0,090
GSX-RR             : CDA=0,237 / CLA=-0,019
RS-GP               : CDA=0,247 / CLA=-0,016
RC213V             : CDA=0,259 / CLA=-0,047
RC16                 : CDA=0,251 / CLA=-0,021

negative value mean downforce

You can see that ducatti has most downforce and most drag.

It isn ´t 100% accurate fore sure but those values are realistic. I used same raider for all bikes.

Bikes / Re: 3D models of bikes for aero testing

Thank for replies.

Some time ago I made CFD simulation of Yamaha YZRM1 from 2013 with and without winglets.

I found result for bike with winglets:

CdA 0,283 (murusama rc990 in GPB has CdA 0.25 )
ClA -0,113 ( so bike is making some downforce about 20kg at 200 km/h, murusama rc990 in GPB has ClA 0.045 - so making lift about 8kg at 200 km/h )

I designet winglets inspired by Ducati.
I will try to find data for yamaha without winglets and try to design winglets using 2017 aero rules

Bikes / 3D models of bikes for aero testing

Hi!

I would like to do some CFD simulations of GP bikes for dragforce and lift/downforce estimation of virtual models .
I need to covert bikes from game to editable files ( 3ds, stl ...) first. Im bit lost how can I do that. (which software or plugin to use)
Of course I can than implement those values to gpbikes and share my work if anybody will be interested.

Thanks
