Of course to able to ride DST naturally like in real life you'l need an expensive motion rig, of course it is unnaturaly with joypad or even with wheel !

Of course, and it was not what I was looking for anyway so nvm.

That is not what I was looking for, sure the principal is identical to a real bike, but it is very unnatural.  Most real world motorcyclist could ride a bike on their first go, not as difficult as it in the sim when using 'hardcore' mode, not by a long shot.

The simplicity of direct lean would equal the simplicity in the real world to ride a bike.  In the real world you can lean and lean and lean until the tires give up, of course, but at least you can use your knee to let you limit the amount of lean.  With direct lean mode there are bikes that allow you to crank the steering to max and it would handle all the corners, this max steering could be considered your 'knee' in the real world.  Some modded bikes you can go around at max steering and then without warning just break free, either by poor physics or whatever.

I would personally like a setting to be able to reduce the max lean aritficially, either in the garage or even in the profile.ini to make some bikes more ride able.  If I want hardcore realism, I will just jump on my real bike.

If I want some fun, I come here, it's just that some bike I would love to ride are just unrideable.

Direct Steer with Torque : http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=28.0

It's an optional way to directly control the bikes handlebar torque in GPB. In other words to directly control the bike, but be warned that it is extremely difficult to do with a game controller.

If your interested in using DST then I recommend you read through Klax's journals of his journey to learn to ride in GPB using DST: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1125.0

Hope this helps mate.  ;)

Ok will investigate, cheers.

I'm using the T500 BTW.

In the real world we have a lean gauge i.e our knee, in sim exceeding the maximum lean is way too easy as there is no way to gauge how much we are leaning.

We have plenty of AIDS in the sim that tries to bridge the gap between real world and sim world.  But what I propose is a MAX lean setting that can be adjusted by the user in the garage.

Some bikes out there are an absolute dream to ride, but others, even though they look good, they sound good, they are a nightmare to ride and those bikes would be better left in the garage.  With a MAX lean adjuster these bikes will become ride able.

It can be an option so that those that don't want it don't have to use it, but for those that do then it is there for them.  Also it could be disabled for everybody server side if the host wishes.

If your not using DST to control your bike then the virtual rider controls the bike and the lean angle..... your controller inputs only control the inputs to the virtual rider itself and NOT the bike.  ;)

Are you using DST to control the bikes you are riding in GPB?

No idea, what is DST?

Tracks / Re: Isle Of Man

Well, with the TT Isle Of Man: Ride on the Edge game almost upon us, anybody out there going to try and rip the track and insert it into GPBikes?
