Hey piboso.

Was curious if dirt particle build up would ever be possible. This would be a awesome step when it comes to terrain physics. You'd be able to not just have the cushion develop with cars running the same line but also blow off of loose and dry dirt up the track to build up against the fence.

Probably not realistic but would be cool

Tracks / Height map dimensions

Hey everyone,

So I've been playing with height maps and getting the best resolution, and I've noticed that as I bump up the dimensions my resolution gets better ten fold my question here is, is there a maximum for dimensions currently I'm at 4096x2 and I've got wrs to generate a map am I at the max now?

Hey piboso,

Down the line is there potential for additional properties for surfaces to be introduced so currently we have thickness but could there be the potential for

compact (so the compression of the surface so more compression less speed on deformation until it reaches a threshold.

Water base (define how wet or dry a track is the wetter the track the less dust until it reaches a threshold of a line like drying line)

Etc

Is there any plans to introduce the ability to create night lighting for tracks and if there is could there be the potential for it to effect the way tracks deform

Hi everyone ,

im working on a track atm ive done a model and now im trying to make a height map of my model however im having alot of dramas with quality and even being able to generate a heightmap correctly.



this is what i have so far , i have black on the curb on one end then on the other its light just really unsure what to do any ideas?

Hey guys ,

having a small issue with the fbx2edf converter I save my file from max to the fbx format then when I go to run the converter is crashes . is this a common error and what can I do to convert my objects over to the edf format

Hi piboso,

I saw you have a sprintcar in the works and as a modder of soly speedway content got so e suggestions but as there's so may I condensed them.

1, need a new track material like loose dirt that blows off to reveal the harder race surface.
1a,  a harder race surface that dose take some deformation but at a certain point begins taking rubber like a tarmac track.

2, allow for beginning grip levels that increase as track takes rubber /behaves like dirt

3.as speedway predominantly takes place at night ability to set night races and have dynamic lighting (not necessarily 24 0 hour full day night the current three settings could be retained. But the need for night and lights.

4.rolling starts as sprintcars do not have the ability to start from standing start.

5. Support for multiple saves of track deformation in one file and a option within the race/test window to select which track surface you want. This would allow for leagues running multiple heat races and feature as u could save the deformation file at the end of every session and start it from the last the the option to reset after a track grade.

6. The ability to tune in materials so the track maker can dial in how much force required to move say the cushion so the ability to have heavier dirt etc.

That's all I can think of now looking forward to the release of the sprintcar

Greetings all ,

New To forums after buying the game over the weekend with the idea of trying to bring speedway to WRS.

while im new to the formatting involved with WRS im not new when it comes to Moding after working on numerous mods for rfactor and rfactor2.

i look forward to the challenge that will be getting my head around the new file set out and such
