Thanks DD for an amazing system... Way better than I imagined... And harder to play GP Bikes with it than I expected... lol...

Hi there,

So it's been a week since I've been officially part of this "band of brothers" and just wanted to give a quick "status report":

• GP Bikes installation completed (game, tracks, bikes, helmets, tyres, misc, maxhud plugin, paints and bike sounds... The folder now has almost 50Gb...  )
• Helmet and suit customization finished (screenshots attached)... Thanks to the modders, specially the helmet... Great work...
• Tried a couple of test laps (since I don't have a gamepad for PC I tried to use the keyboard...  ... You probably can guess what happened... lol)

So what's next?

• Custom bike livery (I'm starting with my favourite, the WSBK 2017 BMW S1000RR... ...  )
• Install HS3 system (it's on it's way... Hopefully I will get it before Xmas...  )
• Learn how to ride the bike with the HS3 and test a few different tracks and bikes
• Once I feel I can ride without being a threat to everyone, plan to join one of the online servers and race a little bit, and learn from the best... 

That's it, short and sweet...

Again thanks to everyone in the community for all the help so far, special thanks to DD for the HS3 system and help, to HornetMaX for his GP Bikes unofficial guide (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=431.0), it saved me a lot of time, and to Alibaskins for his auto sync (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1449.0) which is perfect for a new (offline or online) setup...

Hi guys,

I'm starting to work on a custom helmet (based on the Shark Race-R Pro 2017, Jorge Lorenzo 2017... Kudos to the creator, great work...  ) and all seems good apart from the fact that the name does not appear in GP Bikes... I can still choose it but the name shows blank.

I believe I'm missing something but I couldn't figure out why so far... The .tga filename is the same as the original one (3rd screenshot).

PS: You can see that I have two custom helmets with different names and both do not show up... Actually the second one shows with the name [2] (2nd screenshot).

[Portuguese (Portugal) translation]

Well 72h give or take... 

• Got the license to unlock all GP Bikes features (should have done this earlier but I had my expectations wrong regarding the HS system and GP Bikes license but Allan cleared that up).
• Started following the "GPB unofficial guide" by HornetMaX (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=431.0). Great work HornetMax, a must for all newbies. Finished points 1 and 2. PS: I do recommend setting the "compatibility=0" under core.ini. This will make sure all files are under the GPBikes folder and it's a lot easier to find them and to backup the files (btw I had to manually copy the files under "My Documents\Piboso" to the GPBikes folder. Not sure if it was just me or it's the expected behavior).
• In the meantime started working on a Portuguese (Portugal) translation based on the work done by Rodrigovis (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1306.0). I did notice that a few things were missing and that's when I read more closely the "GPB unofficial guide" specially the part regarding .pkz files (section 2.3). I unpacked the ui.pkz file and got the latest translation file in english (english.str). Used WinMerge (free software for PC) to compare the file I was working with the new english.srt and added the necessary changes. All working. Haven't tested everything but will make necessary changes whenever I, or someone else, discovers them. You will find the file here: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=5537.0

So next steps (since I'm waiting for the HS system and won't ride without it...  ):

• Finish setting up GP Bikes following the "GPB unofficial guide" by HornetMaX (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=431.0)
• Customize a Helmet and Suit to prepare for online racing (this way everyone will know, the guy that doesn't know how to ride, is me...  )

Hello everyone,

Had some free time and as promised I wanted to give back to the community so I've added the translation in Portuguese (PT) of GP Bikes.
Thank you Rodrigovis for your work in the Portugues(BR) (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1306.0). I've used it as a starter for the (PT) version.

To install it, simply create a folder ui in GPBikes/gpbikes and drop the file "Portugues(PT).str" in it.
Then, launch the game, go to "Profiles" and change the language to "Portugues(PT)".

Feel free to ask for any modifications if you find errors.

Hi guys,

I wanted to know if there are specific .srt files for each GP Bikes version and where can I find them (looking mainly for the b12.b version). Wanted to do a Portuguese version (continuing the great work Rodrigovis did with the Brazilian version).

Plus, can I test the translation file in the demo version (running one machine with this version at the moment).

I wanted my first post here to be a quick intro.
Just joined the Forum but I've been following GP Bikes development for almost a year now. I like it so much that I've ordered a HS system from Allan to play/ride on it... 

Quick info about myself, I'm Paulo from Portugal, 40y, married, two kids and love motorbikes (don't have one currently, haven't ride in a while but hope to "get back on the horse" soon).

And that's it, I hope I can help the community as well, with modding, coding, testing, setting up servers, whatever (i'm kind of an IT geek... lol).
