Bug Reports / Re: Known bug still exists, just a reminder.
« on: September 19, 2017, 10:04:59 AM »
Yes, it was bad last Sunday. I must have got a dq 5 times before the race started. The time I didn't get a dq, I left my set up on default. Everytime I loaded a set up and went to the grid, I got a dq. It was probably a coincidence and not a workaround tho.

Good race guys. that was fun....mostly. the server seemed smooth to me. other riders seemed stable on track. the real problem was getting the race started without a DSQ from me or several people(mostly me  :-[). after 4, 5, 6... restarts, it finally worked. from there it was good. even the train wreck in T2 was smooth and,IMO, caused by driver awareness(or unawareness? ::)), and not jumping, lagggy bikes.

i say it was a successful test. something has to be done about the race starts, tho. that was getting ridiculous with the restarts, and i feel bad for the few that left before the race finally started. i can't blame them tho. i look forward to more races. good race to everybody, and congrats to Conor, and Warlock for a fine demonstration  8)

CAWS Mod Team / Re: CAWS MOD Team - WIP Donington Park Circuit.

Thank you for reply. I will try for sure. I just picked R6 Bike and I felt addicted to doing lap times on this track so much that I forgot about anything else :-D

i'm loving this track with the R6 also. the FFB is so detailed and strong with this bike and track. more then any other combo i've tried so far. donington has always been one of my favorites too. this is a great version, IMO. thanks CAWS

@uberslug
are you taking requests? Any track with Moto3 and forced first person view would be nice.

Custom hardware / Re: Logitech G920 wheel stacked at 180 of rotation :(
« on: September 06, 2017, 04:24:30 PM »
Ah, so the deadzone is not in the center. I misunderstood. Have you tried something higher then 40 and lower then 180? When you set the soft lock to 40 in the logitech software, does the wheel actually soft lock like it should before you start the game?

I use a steering wheel but it's not a logitech. There is a deadzone slider in game for every assigned axis that might help you, but it seems like your problem is unique. I changed my degrees of rotation in my wheel's software to 100 and it works like it should. The FFB works from lock to lock and there is no deadzone. If fact, i had to change the deadzone ingame to 13%. I never had to change an .ini file or anything.

You can change the degrees of rotation manually on logitech wheels (without going into logitech profiler). I'm not sure about a g920, but with a g27 you can cycle thru DOR presets by pressing right paddle, R3, and select. I have a feeling that might not work because the smallest value of a preset is likely 180 degrees. It's worth a try anyways.

Maybe you could try a fresh install of the game and wheel software? Or can you try the game and your wheel on a different pc?

Custom hardware / Re: If you want more immersion...
« on: September 05, 2017, 02:57:09 PM »
Yeah, shakers really do make the immersion much better. I'm using 2 of these... Dayton Audio TT25-8 PUCK Tactile Transducer Mini Bass Shaker https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B009RGJ47S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_tNRRzbGZESAV1
and this to power them... Lepy LP-2020A Class-D Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier with US Power Supply Black https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00V9AYMZ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QQRRzbE6AATXP

The feeling along with FFB from my steering wheel is frickin' amazing

I would like to try that view. Are you referring to changing the profile.ini to
[view]
mode = 1
?
