Mods / Re: Ulster GP Needs More Cameras...

to try and answer your tire question - i've not used it yet myself, but i'm guessing you would use the MaxTyre plugin:

it would be too much to imagine that Dorna would let PiBoSo/GPB take over as official licensed 'game'.
getting a little giddy just thinking about that... :D

interest officially piqued :D

very cool, thanks David  8)

With the dl there are 3 possibilities.laa 2_0_4 zip or the framework?
I am really overstrained.
Maybe who can say for me anti pc man again exactly how this works.

fin, you will need the laa 2 0 4 zip, that is the actual hack tool. the other framework options are only if your system is not updated with those.
so, just try the 2 0 4 zip first, it should work just by itself.
as the other guys say, this 'hack' is not really a hack, and is in no way harmful to your pc.

believe me, these tracks are great, and well worth the little extra effort... ;)

(bike games aren't really my thing so I can't justify the 27euro),

that's understandable, but it might be a good time to let you know that for the 27 euro, not only do you get the full GPB, you also get a full licensed version of WRS(World Racing Series), which may very well be more up your alley.
getting 2 sims for 27 euro is a great bargain, and that's me talking from south africa, where i am up against a nasty exchange rate, as well ;)

that is unfortunate, indeed.
i was also under the impression that all necessary permissions had been obtained. only right that it be pulled asap.

fin, also please note -  if you, like me, used higher detail settings for textures in your gpbikes.ini [core] section, ie:
texture quality, replay length. turning these down to lower settings allowed me to run the track without the hack, and it runs well.

hi fin,
maybe you need to use the LAA hack for memory usage?

CAWS Mod Team / Re: CAWS MOD TEAM - WIP Oulton Park
July 01, 2017, 08:12:01 AM
just put in a few laps this morning, and it doesn't disappoint.  ;D
in fact ...it's awesome!   8)   now i have to juggle 3 new favorite tracks, which all happen to come from the CAWS stable.
Brands, Donington, Oulton - you guys have hit home runs with each. (or sixes, if cricket is your game  ;))
thanks for the great tracks, and looking forward to whatever might be in the pipeline, of course....  8)

i'm hoping the news has something to do with decent bike controllers....  :D
29
i'd say that's a pretty decent time. Yogi ;)
i'm only doing mid 1:12's atm, maybe i can shave another second or two of with a better setup.
this track and the CAWS Brands track have really made these circuits come to life for me -
been doing back to back comparisons with these and the older track versions, and the CAWS tracks just seem to have so much more 'life' to them.
i'm not just referring to the pretty scenery and textures here, but the track itself just seems to have better defined little bumps 'n dips in it, feels much more like a real track to me.
the other versions seem flat and a bit bland in comparison. i'll keep both , though, of course :D

just thinking on this, on the flight sim website i co-run, one of our modders did a similar mod awhile back, allowing pilot head movements made by the player to be visible in replays and while flying online.
the mods there use java code. if it helps, i can probably source the code for that mod (no license issues with any of our mods) if PiBoSo wants to take a look at it.
knowing coders, though, he might be more offended to use other code than his own, lol.
just a thought, as always, thought i'd let it out.  ;D
