Suggestions and wishlist / How to start wrs
January 27, 2014, 07:04:01 PM
Hello,
I make finally 30 laps with my wheel g25 on victoria in a F3000, i says that because i tested with my pad and it was to much difficult.
Good good good, thx piboso and i can test all gpb tracks with 4wheels, good feeling.
Now the subject:
I passed long time to understand how to start a lap in wrs from the first page of the game.
I think we need a how to have a good start. How to set all the parameters like wheel rotation, wich asign button makes what, auto-... or non auto... .
Perhaps(surely) a member can do it?
I will make it with happyness but i have not the skills and i have to much work on tracks.
Thank you.
PS: the f3000 is completely crazy and the reaction are crazy to.

Tracks / [GPBikes][trackedit] marshalls how to do it
January 16, 2014, 02:33:45 PM
hello,
Some of you don't have a right Ctrl touch, i don't understand it exist, i think you have a macbook pro. Arvoss gives a solution:
I'm using a macbook pro so there isn't a right control. I downloaded a key remapper and it works.

After all the problems i have had to find how to do marshall in GPBikes, i give you  here the method that i used.
I you need to have better resolution of images, clic on the link under every images

https://www.youtube.com/v/JBTbpsy99cM

1:
Open notepad

2:
In 3ds max, locate the coordinates(X;Y;Z) of the places where you want the marshalls and repot it in the notepad(we are not on the millimeter). Begin with the flagman.
http://imageshack.com/a/img837/7116/6l3u.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img4/1889/d2ql.png

3:
Go to Ordinateur/Disque local C/ Program Files (86)/GPBIKES/gpbikes/, copy the misc.pkz and past it in Ordinateur/Disque local C/ Program Files (86)/TrackTool/tracked/, right clic on misc.pkz, extract here(with winrar or winzip).
You can now delete the misc.pkz folder here.

http://imageshack.com/a/img69/1583/su45.png

4:
I copied the folder marshals.cfg wich is in the victoria folder, and past it  in the folder of my track (Programm Files (86)/GPBIKES/gpbikes/tracks/Oval/)

http://imageshack.com/a/img208/4531/5zy8.png

5:
Open marshals.cfg (from the folder of your track) with notepad and report coordinates taken in 3ds max.
If your track is flat and located at 0.00 meters altitude, you can put Y = 0 for all marshals who are on the ground.
The Y axis in marshals.cfg corresponds to the Z axis in 3ds max. and Z axis to Y axis in 3ds max.
Copy a whole for one marshal and past it as many as you need (Number of marshals on your track) following the last.
Save and close marshals.cfg.

http://imageshack.com/a/img854/9794/dtvh.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img854/3022/1kt2.png

6:
Open tracked.exe, File;Load; find your track in .trp.

http://imageshack.com/a/img845/1244/wzeh.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img833/6759/q335.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img28/8094/boux.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img802/5505/eucc.png

If you want to put on your track marshals is that you've probably made a Centerline. (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=537.0)

7:
Centerline;Open; Find your Centerline;
Centerline;Merge;

http://imageshack.com/a/img42/6899/csb0.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img829/7779/xfuu.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img42/914/tro6.png

8:
View;Marshals;
In the new window: clic Models Path and find the marshals folder wich is in the misc you exctracted at the beginning.

http://imageshack.com/a/img593/2274/9cka.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img34/7163/vkj7.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img34/7163/vkj7.png

In the Marshals window: clic Load and find the marshals.cfg previously modified in the folder of your track.
Right clic on Flagman;Locate, there you must see the flagman shaking the flag.
To move in the background: right Ctrl with the mouse and the arrows of your keyboard, you can increase or decrease the speed with the mouse wheel.
Pioboso to put it, there is a time, manipulation to move the commissioners: Z+mouse; X+mouse; C+mouse; by me only vertical axis works, tha's why i made a copy of the coordinates from 3ds max.:)
If you think the marshal is well positioned, right clic on the character and Edit.
In the new window (Marshals Params) clic on Calc and OK.
Repeat operations for all of the marshals et think to save from time to time, the program crashes some time.

http://imageshack.com/a/img819/1286/q1du.png

I hope that this is quite understandable and that it will help in more than one not to pull hair.

Tracks / [GPBikes][trackedit] centerline how to do it
January 16, 2014, 01:52:24 PM
hello,

NEW HERE, I add a video, it's easier, all can try it, good luck.

https://www.youtube.com/v/aBobSY8MVis

I make a tutorial how to make the centerline for a GPBikes track.
All images are resized for goo watching here, if you want to watch better clic on the link under every images,

The limit of centerline parts is 285
How i do a centerline:

1:
Open tracked.exe
File;Load; find your track in .trp

http://imageshack.com/a/img835/7172/zjgj.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img844/2033/5y04.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img713/7904/tydq.png

2:
Wait 2-3 second for the track to appears and zoom back with the roll of themouse.

http://imageshack.com/a/img28/1148/7ctz.png

3:
To move, use Z and mouse.

http://imageshack.com/a/img22/4771/ij3d.png

4:
Go to Centerline ;New

http://imageshack.com/a/img27/93/tltn.png

5:
Faites un clique droit au milieu de l'écran; Add Segment

http://imageshack.com/a/img62/6528/y67j.png

6:
In the new window, choose the long of the first part of the centerline, you can let 10.00000 for now, OK.

http://imageshack.com/a/img534/6483/60e2.png

7:
A part does be at the crossiing of the black lines of tracked, if you don't see it zoom until.

http://imageshack.com/a/img4/8976/d4p0.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img571/4723/mpdq.png

8:
Clic on this part. 2 pink square crossed by yellow lines does appears.
Those of down is used to move the entire part, those of up the long and the orientation.

http://imageshack.com/a/img842/5296/1zhm.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img404/6567/5j0y.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img15/4344/vpxg.png

9:
Move this part with the down square until the start of the straight line of your track, it must be placed at the end of a curve because the last part must be a curve and the first a straight.
Strengh the part the more you can until the next curve(or straight) with the other with square.

http://imageshack.com/a/img703/4736/nvx4.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img811/9711/ee8a.png

10:
Right clic on the part, and clic Add curve, if it's a curve, or Add straight if it's a straight(lol).

http://imageshack.com/a/img12/8434/cmq7.png

11:
Clic on the new part and place it the nearest you can of the middle of the track, strengh it as possible.

http://imageshack.com/a/img20/7195/p30g.png

12:
Take a tour of your circuit with minimum sections (parts), you will see after if there is too many or not,(the limit is 285).
As i have undstood, this centerline is used to locate pits, start grid, marshalls and respawn point after a fall.

13:
At the last section wich, i recall, must be a curve, the best approach of the end of the first section.
Zoom out to see surroundings of the track, right clic out of the ground(in the grey) and clic Close.
Your Centerline must have closed between the first and last section.

http://imageshack.com/a/img827/1313/x9fc.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img835/4571/api6.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img824/2520/81ve.png

14:
Go to Centerline and Save as... Save under the name of your track in the track folder of your track.
Go to Centerline and clic on merge, which applies to the centerline of the runway elevation changes.

http://imageshack.com/a/img819/72/ibzc.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img836/4089/j80b.png

15:
Go to Surface and clic Generate, wait seconds and a green band should appear on your route.
If the width is not good back in Surface and clic Edit, choose the width of the left side and right side for covering all the asphalt. The left side must always be in -xx.xxxxx.

http://imageshack.com/a/img822/3344/kxn6.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img34/8968/oahq.png

http://imageshack.com/a/img850/3558/l8ba.png

16:
Go to File, clic Save and save it over your older folder of your track.

http://imageshack.com/a/img5/8794/6o5m.png

And now, I hope it will help in some of you and save you from tearing your hair out.

General Discussion / [GPBikes] development of the forum
January 15, 2014, 04:55:10 PM
Hello,
I post to say that i am verry happy about the development of all the forums.
Anybody can now find something to develop, physics, paints, bikes, tracks, and the community becomes bigger and wait no more for the next release of the game, we have enough tracks to ride and enough bikes. I say that because i don't see no more complain about next beta.
Now i understand why it's so hard to find something in a forum that i didn't know before it's so big, lol.
Big thanks to the community and big big thanks to piboso for the greatest motorcycle game of the world.
I hope that everybody is so happy than me by the evolution.
Post here your happiness.

With the permission of the original modder Motorfx

Hello, i am rebuilding Cadwell Park, right textures at the right place, because it was my first convert track for gpbikes and it was a lot of bad things.
Now almost textures are well done. The problem is that there is so many bumps that is unrideable, i didn't remember that was so unrideable.
I have applyed 2 or 3 technics to smooth the asphalt but nothing changed.
If somoeone wants to try to smooth it or tell me how i will be pleased to give the 3ds max files.
It will be very nice to finally have this track rideable.
Thank you.

a great thing is to have a shutoff, like in real, when the rider fall the motor cut off. I think everybody would have this to counteract the bike going away during miles and miles.

Tracks / dragster track
January 25, 2013, 07:57:53 PM
Build from scratch

Hello, I'm making a track to test and improve the bikes and the ability of the player in 400 meters. It will probably help for suspensions setup, in acceleration, etc... I thought that's a good idea for the fun.
There is a hole, on the left before the start line, i don't know from what it comes. No hole in 3ds, no flip faces, no hole in tracked and no hole in mapview, only in game, but its a little hole, and we can't fall in, it's a hole like asphalt.
Split are at 200m, 400m and 600m. A lap without falling is needed for laptime.
With murasama my test were about, 2,...;3,...;3,..., about 2+3+3=7seconds to 600m
or 5 secs to 400m. speedtrap line is at 400m

Hello, here is the link to download monza for WRS. The starting grid has been changed from GPBikes version. It's not the finished version, it needs start lights and 3d grass.
All the asphalt and the edges have been rebuilt. Alibaskin say that he has fps down sometimes, in GPBikes. He thinks darker asphalt will be better, do you think?
If someone could post a video on this track with WRS, it will be nice. Thank you.
