Quote from: neoraptor on January 08, 2014, 03:11:28 PMThat was exactly my question #2 above. BTW, in your formula, the "Radius" is the Torus Radius and not the overall tyre radius, which is called ... Radius.
Is that right?

A few of questions people are asking around:
- Why is the mass of the front suspension separate from the steering head mass ? Is it the partial mass of the suspension that is unsprung ?
- In the tyre model: Radius is the radius of the tyre (center to outmost circumference), torus radius is the radius of the torus "describing" the tyre profile. But what is Width ? For the 990 for example Radius is 0.325, Torus Radius is 0.13 and Width is 60. Is Width the half angle describing the tyre profile ? In other words, is the tyre width of the 990 equal to 225mm (calculated as 2 * Torus Radius * sin(Width)) ?
- What the hell are the "Collision objects" ? Nobody seems to have a precise idea

1. the "front suspension" mass is the sum of lower part of forks, calipers and front fender.
2. Width is the angle ( in degrees ) of the tread arc.
Quote from: JamoZ on January 08, 2014, 10:52:03 AM1 archive with modded bikes with their own basic paints + 1 archive with all the other paints (or eventually 1 archive per bike with the extra paints).
The only idea i can think of is provide 3 kinds of downloads, Paint folders only, Modded bikes only, and a complete package combining those 2.
Quote from: JamoZ on January 08, 2014, 10:52:03 AMBecause 1 paint file is 3-8Mb and if you put GPB on a 64 or 128GB SSD, space can become a problem.
But i really can't see a reason why people just wouldn't want to have all the latest paints provided automatically...
Quote from: Hawk_UK on January 08, 2014, 09:55:59 AMThat would be fine, but it doesn't sounds like that from his last post (in reply to Klax75).
As I understand it, JamoZ is basically going to do that by having majority of paints in a separate paints folder for others to decide if they want to download them individually or not.

Either way, eventually everyone is going to end up with the same paints whether they like it or not, you HAVE to update everything in order to keep playing on the modded servers and knowing that the package is always up to date, why not grab it form there to be sure?.

It is the server replay... And I recorded in 1/4 slow motion to avoid the stuttering effect

I come from play RPG games for years D2/D3/WOW and finding it hard going at the moment to not crash due to my thumbs being useless I found some smoothing and linearity settings, can someone help with base settings that they use.
Quote from: neoraptor on January 07, 2014, 06:01:26 PMMouse Look was clear, but what's the difference between Tracking and Face Tracking ?
As for Freelook, it is intended to change the view according to the moves of your body (mainly face).
In GPB, you have 3 options :
* 1 for using the mouse to control the view
* 1 for using your head (with FreeTrack (http://www.free-track.net/english/) >> http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=159.msg871#msg871)
Quote from: Ian on January 07, 2014, 07:11:11 PMI have help hints in the settings page always, no matter how I set the "Help" thing. Also, it has 3 settings, so it's still not clear what is removed in each setting.
Help on gives you a red arrow above your grid position in a race and help hints in the setting pages.
When starting a race and the sighting lap and warmup lap are active in the event info page you will see a red arrow above your grid position so you no where to start.
This caught me out the first time I stalled the bike on the grid forgetting to put the bike in neutral
Quote from: Ian on January 07, 2014, 07:37:24 PMI've done races (with sighting and warmup laps) and it's true that the low speed controls an be used there. However they can be used anytime (e.g. if you have troubles getting out of the pits or out of the grass/sand due to a bad respawn). I'll ass the grid example anyway, it's useful.
Great work on your guide good detail one thing to mention
1.5.2.2 Settings/Input 2 tab: Controls / View / Gestures
Controls:
Low Speed: two buttons to have the rider "walk" the bike (forward and backward on the grid when forming up on a sighting and warmup lap).
I suggest you do a race start and you will see for yourself I will do some screenshots next time I race. This will catch people out every time on there first race start
