Setups / Optimal temperature range for tires ?
October 04, 2013, 08:04:21 PM
Hi all,

anyone knowing what is the optimal temperature range for the tires ?

MaX.

P.S.
BTW, would it make sense to have a tire temp setting in the pits (like tire warmers) ?

I'ts not better, it's different.

Assuming you have the throttle and the front brake on the two triggers, with the xinput plugin you'll be able to brake and open the throttle at the same time, without the xinput plugin that would not be possible.

You can use an XBox controller with GPB (wired or wireless). In fact, any controller recognized by Windows is basically usable in GPB.
You can even use multiple controllers at the same time (e.g. an xbox pad and a set of pedals, or two pads at the same time, if your hands can do that).

The Xinput plugin is not mandatory: you only need it if you want two separate axes on the two triggers (i.e. without the plugin, the two triggers act as a single combined axis).

Last comment from Piboso I remember said that you can change it but it doesn't actually affect anything.
Just there for future use.

Piboso, Warlock is right.

This is the "official" GPB/WRS forum and it's nice to have it. However, don't feel obliged to read it, especially if you feel offended and annoyed by some comments (and this will happen, granted).

Your time is precious (and your well being too): get one trusted person to be your eye on the forum and filter all the crap and irrelevant stuff (I mean irrelevant to you).
Only a very tiny percentage of the old forum messages were of any interest for you: don't waste time in reading uninteresting stuff we all post (me included).

Bad critics ? Crazy requests ? Inappropriate comments ? They will come, just ignore.
Threats ? That's bad. Just ignore.
Somebody complaining about delays or how the project is going ? Big deal ... just ignore. Don't even waste the time to delete the message.

Moderating the forum takes time (and puts you in a bad light): just leave the task to somebody else, if you think we do need a moderator.

Put some distance between you and the forum: you only need some feedback from the community and we only need a few infos from you. The rest is bla bla bla.

What is sure is that the english is hardly understandable. Google translator is far from perfect you know ...

Some parts are also plain wrong.

I only play cod4 and GPB: with a 7950, I don't really have performance issues, even with 12.x drivers :)

To directly control the torque applied to the handlebars, edit profile.ini and add:

[hardcore]
directsteer=1
directsteer_maxtorque=30
directsteer_maxtorque2=0.5

Use negative values to invert the forces.
The second torque scales with speed and then is added to the first one.
which doc do we put this in?
It's written in the text you quoted: profile.ini
