Paints / Re: [SEARCH] Yamaha R6 skin for Beta 4

The chassis is actually based on Varese geometry. This explain why it is so stable because it only needs to handle 140ps instead of 200+.
The next step would be to redesign the chassis, but I lack information on this side.

I am aware of the replay bug !! I am working on it ;)

Do you notice other things to improve/change?

Thanks BozoCro.

I made a new version (actually 2) with the engine control of the 990 to solve the brake engine problem + some other tweak.
You can download it here : https://mega.co.nz/#!0U5mCKYT!G-1DuDMw9rXxTiKJjhHwiGe7dyYuNBB0ou0RnaBUUF0

Please, let me know what you think of the bike. Is there some point we can improve, if you drive a 600, how does it compare to.
Thanks ;)

You can try : https://mega.co.nz/#!BFgxzZ6a!FP35V1xnwb_2Kw8C231hAjZQuYVa_UBp9RFx4OtXM2k

It works fine when playing, but it doesn't work with the replay.
If you know the author of this paint, I would like to ask for the permission to use his paint ;)

Physics / Re: One question about physics params

Ok. I found the bore and stroke measure for the R6 : 67.0 mm × 42.5 mm (2.64 in × 1.67 in)
However, no idea of these measures for the 990.

I also took the 990 motor for reference, but had to reduce engine braking torque a lot more (actually, it is about 0.4x the 990) !!

@Piboso: I tried your modification (going from Clutch's MaxTorque 300NM to 185 (about 75NM * 2.075 * 120%), but it is actually worse.
I always have the same problem when reducing the clutch torque : I lose the rear end much more easily when switching a gear under.
Is there some kind of antidribble available (to avoid locking the rear wheel when going a gear under)?

My braking torque curve is as follow :
   point0 = 1.250000, -1.615385
   point1 = 32.777779, -3.361966
   point2 = 67.222229, -5.263809
   point3 = 100.000000, -7.325155
   point4 = 132.777771, -10.306749
   point5 = 151.666672, -17.269939
   point6 = 235.333328, -22.791409
   point7 = 331.944427, -27.392632

I put the last version of my R6 here (with still 300NM Clutch MaxTorque), for the test : https://mega.co.nz/#!BFgxzZ6a!FP35V1xnwb_2Kw8C231hAjZQuYVa_UBp9RFx4OtXM2k

Hello,

I completed the development of an R6 engine and would like to put some paint on it.
So far, I found one, based on a Varese R6 paint (from beta 3 bike), but it is not working in replay.
As I don't have any experience in paint mod, I would need some help.

Thanks for the info ;)

Thanks for the tip :)

Are there other important parameters I need to take care of?
How do I build the braking torque curve?

Thanks for the confirmation Piboso.
My R6 engine is now working much better !!

I still have a small problem about the clutch. How to adjust it properly?
Could you describe how it is intended to work?
I manage to make it work by trial and error method, and would like to know what is the "proper way" to do it.

Do you have some documentation/schematics about the physics?
It would really help to develop new bike  :)

Here is a dyno from a SSP engine : http://www.kwsmotorsports.com/yr6.htm
It should be close of what we need (137Ps for a 600).

Just finished these. What you guys think?

Great job, converting torgue figures into coordinates will be so much easier with your tools. Only thing is that Iam not so sure 125 Cup bike is the same as 125 GP. There should be more diference then just low RPM torgue. Back when Piboso had the bikes stats on the website the diference was about 5-10 HP
You forgot that power = Torque * RPM
Si y ou easily cet chose 5-10ps ;)

Nice !!
Now, the next step is to develop a new engine (for example a 600, with 130-140PS), with according sound.  :D

Here it is : https://mega.co.nz/#!0YATyL5Y!KzcmsmEc7WVVvHCssHFWb1MJIiF2mYInOIL35t7MRCo
Note that you can have more than 12 points for the engine mapping ;)

What issues do you have?
I plan to do a 600, so if we could share the problems encountered, it would ease the work. ;)

@Alby46: These torques are not usefull for GPBikes, as they are the tightening force needed for the screws.  ;D

What you want to map a specific motor, is a dyno sheet, like this one  ;)

Just google "dyno bike name" and you will find plenty of them.
Only need to map the value now.

I just extracted the torque / braking torque from the 990 :

I will try to map an R6 engine with the Varese chassis.
