Setups / Re: Set-up to help with the bumps?
February 04, 2014, 06:26:05 PM
I also have a big coming week (and then a skiing holiday week  ;D).
After that I will continue to work on GPB (finish R6 geometry as it is too stable for now, and continue the geometry documentation and some other small projects that have been "paused").

I am aware of most of the problems of the R6 and I plan to finish it properly, don't worry ;)

I just checked and there is a pitlimiter for both Honda and KTM (just look for pit limiter) Moto3:

Try copying the cd on your hard drive and then run the installer in compatibility mode.
It often works with old games ;)

I completed first the game without cheating. ;)
I then looked in the code to see how it was done, and it appears it was very easy to cheat ^^

Maybe you can check that there is no way to change the counter abruptly (check how fast the counter changes and see if it is correct)

I thought of that but once you're far in the game you can get like 1.000.000.000 per second :p
Yes, but you can't have 10000000 with one click. I would suggest you to check that when you increase your counter, it is possible (for instance: not possible to add a google server if you don't have enough bytes)

Funny game, but too easily hacked :P

It took me 2 seconds with this line (open development tools > Console and copy/paste it) : second=1000000000000;googles=100;nasas=100;schools=100;servers=100;ministers=100;banks=100;computers=100;money=100000000000;timeplayed=900

Bikes / Re: GPB bike modding wiki

Thanks Hawk ;)

For the bikes, I used 3dVia Printscreen to extract them (it is an OpenGL ripper) and a plugin in 3DS to import them.
If you want more info, I can send you a PM ;)

Bikes / GPB bike modding wiki
January 17, 2014, 01:46:25 PM
Hello,

I started a wiki to document the various file of the bike's folder to ease the creation of new bikes.  :D
It is still a WIP, but there is already a lot of useful information there.

The wiki is split into 3 main categories : graphic files, sound files and physic files.

If you want to participate, you are warmly welcome to do it.   ;)
Anyone can add content on the wiki.

There is a bike creation checklist, to be sure not to forget anything when building your new bike > http://gpbikes-mods.wikia.com/wiki/Checklist  ;)

The tyres and geometry section are still WIP, but more and more content are there.
I added some section about graphic and sound files, but they are still empty.

If someone knows how these files work, it would be great to fill the according section :
* Graphic section : http://gpbikes-mods.wikia.com/wiki/GPBikes_mods_Wiki#Modding_your_bike_-_Graphics
* Sound section : http://gpbikes-mods.wikia.com/wiki/GPBikes_mods_Wiki#Modding_your_bike_-_Sounds

PS: I put the guide here instead of the mods section as it is more related to bike modding as MaX told me ;)

It looks like the problem is coming from the track then.
Maybe the naming convention was not respected or there is some parameters wrong with the asphalt.

I will try it this evening. If I have the same problem, we will contact the author to ask for the correct asphalt. ;)
Otherwise, you may have some trouble with your graphic cards ;)

Do you have it on all tracks? Victoria too?
Your graphic card drivers are up to date? Are you running AMD or Nvidia?

Quote from: PiBoSo on January 17, 2014, 09:16:56 AMThe limit can be easily increased.
Do you need to update your code or is it already available in a config file?

I think it could be good to increase this limit (at least for the TT, which should be among the biggest track)

A new release of the R6 is coming soon by the way !!

Wow, that is really good link !!  :D

Do you know other ressources from KRP that could be useful for GPB?
