Tracks / Re: Track Moddel specs

You have some informations on the wiki from PiBoSo : http://docs.piboso.com/wiki/index.php/Track_Creation_Rules

For the other questions, I can't really help you as I don't have made a track yet ;)

Here is my wishlist to improve the game experience:
* Driver suit, gloves and boots separated from the bike (as helmet now)
* Setting to reduce max angle for the bike or tyre as reducing grip influences too much the grip
* Allow to change bikes when online (to avoid quitting and reentering the server to swap bike)
* Ability to use plugins in replay view (for analysis for example)
* Separated Start and finish lines for rallye stages

* Add some bike informations when choosing bike (for example : power curve, max speed with standard transmission, ...)
* Allow to change bike with the steering commands in the menu (on top of the droplist)

* Documentation about the geometry of the bike (in particular fork)
* Documentation about tyre textures and wear handling

I am overall happy on how the game and community is evolving.
We can already find some informations by ourselves since the files are now unencrypted.
However a little documentation will help the modding community a lot to make more realistic mods instead of having always the same geometry.
I am not asking for finished tools as I know it takes time, but documentation would be great.

Today, start some SIMs with  G27, and after, have try  set up at GPB )) OMG this is something perfect. no wards... 2x easy to drive, also more enjoyable.

here my game settings, and s. wheel setting. PLZ, if something is wrong, tell me.

Interesting ! Is the Force Feedback also working on the G27 with GPB?
How is the feedback info in that case? Does it helps knowing when losing grip?

thank you dibu.
I have one question:
What is really stall?
grid place ;)
66
Sounds wise  :D

The only drawback of the i7 is its power consumption (47W vs 37W for the i5).
It may impact a bit the battery life ;)
67
You still have a big gap in term of performance between the i5 (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-4200M+%40+2.50GHz&id=2016) and the i7 (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-4700MQ+%40+2.40GHz&id=1923).
The i5 base frequency is 2.5Ghz but is Boost frequency is 3.1Ghz. It has 2 real cores (+2 logical)
The i7 base frequency is 2.4Ghz but is Boost frequency is 3.3Ghz. Moreover, it has 4 real cores (+4 logical)

If you take the benchmark score, it is still almost 2x quicker ;)
As said before, the gap between the 740M and 750M is not that big.
I have a 620M, and everything is running @Max settings on GPB, even on 2560x1880 ^^

If you want to have a real performance boost, an SSD would be a wise investment.
It is really much quicker as a standard HDD and everything feels more snappy.
You can buy an aftermarket and put it in your computer as it is less expansive than fitting an OEM one.
68
The first one, without hesitation ! The CPU is more than 2x more powerful : 7946 vs 3348 (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html) ;)

You can always upgrade the RAM later if you need but 4Gb is already good for today.
Moreover, the difference between the 2 graphic cards is not very important (http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GT-750M-vs-GeForce-GT-740M)

Hi Logan,
AFAIK, Ricco is not yet working on physics ;)
I started a wiki to help people building correct physics (see my signature for the link).
The position of the rear shock doesn't really matter for GPB as it only requires a swingarm pivot point and the min/max angle of the swingarm ;)

There is still a bit work left on the geometry model (fork-chassis linkage is not found yet) but it has already a good amount of information.
You are welcome to help with the redaction if you know how graphic and sound files (or any other part) are working ;)

I'm happy for anyone with trusted knowledge of the physics engine to set it up.
I still need to get it set up into parts required for export and pivot points required but pivots should be correct already.

I've not really had much time to mess around with the game, especially beta4 and have no experience in the sound files. I could go to my local Ducati dealership and record a road spec panigale engine if thats any use?
The pivot/reference points for each part are already described in the wiki (http://gpbikes-mods.wikia.com/wiki/MountingPoints3D).

Which engine are you targeting with your (beautiful !!) 1199? stock? sbk?
To have a close match, the better is to found a dyno for the engine ;)

I also made a check-list to follow when building a bike physic (http://gpbikes-mods.wikia.com/wiki/Checklist). You can already check if you have all the informations ;)

Concerning the measures, I need to finish the geometry model first, but you can already take the swingarm lenght (from pivot to middle adjustment of the wheel), some chassis measures (see this picture to know which points : (http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140114151016/gpbikes-mods/images/1/13/990.png)

General Discussion / Re: Swing arm pivot
January 14, 2014, 01:46:01 PM
I will give it a try ;).
I don't know if PiBoSo already has implemented it.

Theoretically, the pivot position affect grip when going out of the corner.
If I move the pivot higher, I will have a higher chain pull angle and the suspension will extend more, so better traction (more range).
If it is move too far, it can results in high side as the rear suspension is then fully released.
Am I right?

Edit: some useful links to understand the effect of the pivot point :

Bikes / Re: Question: Modding / WIP List
January 14, 2014, 12:44:42 PM
We can do that on the wiki (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=513.0), as anyone will be able to add his work, whether it is a full bike or only a part (graphic, sound or physic).
Otherwise, it is going to be a titan task for the one maintaining the list  :)

The other solution is that all bikes we want to play with are validated by someone, who put them in a sticky list.
In this case, we don't have the bike in construction, only finished bikes.
