Bikes / Long bike name hide's lap time
July 27, 2014, 02:36:36 PM
Not sure if this has been mentioned but a long bike name obscures your lap time in the pits when racing online.

Suggestions and wishlist / 2 bike folders
July 25, 2014, 11:13:34 PM
Would there be any benefit in adding a second bike folder so we can try new stuff without messing up the current mod.

Suggestions and wishlist / Brake size
May 26, 2014, 09:27:23 PM
Is it worth updating the size and choice of brake disc for next release.

The Grand Prix Commission announced  that a 340mm front brake disc will now be available after coming under pressure from several riders in the Safety Commission that the current 320mm disc was struggling to cope with the weight and speeds of the current generation 1000cc four-strokes.

Suggestions and wishlist / On screen Chat
May 01, 2014, 09:11:42 PM
When you accidentally hit your on screen chat button and the text box appears near the top it stays there until someone else talks or you go to the pits.
Could it be changed so that another press of the same button would clear the box,it sit right over my Max hud  ;D
Yes I could reposition the Max hud but I like it were it is  ;)

Suggestions and wishlist / Bike Mods
March 23, 2014, 12:41:28 PM
Is it possible to make the game check which Mod bikes are on the server then compare them to the ones you have installed and tell you which ones are wrong?
Or could a stand alone program do the same job contact server check your game?
If you don,t follow the forum religiously It becomes quite frustrating working out which bike is wrong and this has stopped me form going online the last 2 attempts.
The delete everything and download again is ok for fast connections, but not workable when you fancy a quick game. There needs to be a fast easy solution.
I am not criticizing how the mods are handled  Klax75 is doing a great job,but how many are not playing because of this issue.
Can we learn form other modded games how do they handle this problem.

General Discussion / Track Installation Guide for Newbies
December 31, 2013, 03:58:22 PM
A guide on how to add new tracks to your game, this is a step by step for people who have never done this before It will save you hours of forum reading
Please remember to backup your files before you start you do this at your own risk
You will be visiting the gpbikes folders a lot so make a short cut and place on your desktop or add them to your favorite list what ever works best for you
If you installed the game in the default location you will find the gpbikes folder here.

I have already added the bikes folder check out the Bike installation guide here http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=412.0

We have to add a new folder and name it tracks

To download tracks go here http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=45.0

Note There are also tracks especially for the Scooters

The tracks on the mega download page are the up to date tracks used in the severs thanks guys

Pick your track download and save the track to your hard drive, unzip, copy open you new tracks folder and paste it in

Note If you select your track from the in game drop down menu and its not there a extra folder has been added when downloading see below

Note If you try and connect to a server and you get a Data mismatch error you have a old version of a track installed
Visit the mega download page and up date your track https://mega.co.nz/#F!eNVSADpZ!a6u3dBMlFT8zw5x7K68eVg

To check which tracks are running in the servers go here http://stats.gp-bikes.com/servers.php

Big thanks to all the people I have used a link to there work on this guide

General Discussion / Save post as draft
December 31, 2013, 09:42:32 AM
I don't see a option to save a new post as a draft if I have not finished it.
Is there away to save a post off line in the right format and paste it in?

General Discussion / Bike Installation Guide For Newbies
December 30, 2013, 09:19:00 PM
A guide on how to add new bikes and paints  to your game, this is a step by step for people who have never done this before It will save you hours of forum reading
Please remember to backup your files before you start you do this at your own risk
You will be visiting the gpbikes folders a lot so make a short cut and place on your desktop or add them to your favorite list what ever works best for you
If you installed the game in the default location you will find the gpbikes folder here.

We have to add a new folder and name it bikes

Inside bikes add 4 folders and name them after the default 125/500/990

Open each of the folders and add a folder and name it paints

Now lets add more bikes go to the fantastic bike mod page here  http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=789.0

At the top of the first page you will see the mod version, a list of the current bikes included and the download link

Download and save the bike mod to your hard drive, unzip, copy, open the bikes folder and paste them in

All the mod bikes are ready to go with paints installed .To add more paints we will use the R6 online skin pack http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=396.0

Paints for all the other bikes can be downloaded from here https://mega.co.nz/#F!iR9mgKJT!BTnOnTAxNngwZyNuXJ4slQ

Download and save the R6 pack to your hard drive, the file will be in a RAR format you will need Winzip or 7-Zip to open them

Copy the files open the R6 folder open the paints folder paste the new files in

NOTES ON SERVERS AND MODS

Before you go online you will need to check the current mod version and at which tracks the mod is installed go here http://stats.gp-bikes.com/servers.php

If you join a normal server and you have the correct mod installed on your PC then select  the default 125 500 990 = Connection

If you join a normal server and you have the correct mod installed on your PC then select a bike from the mod = Bike unknown to server

If you join a mod server and you have the correct mod installed on your PC then select the 125 500 990 = Connection

If you join a mod server and you have the wrong mod/one bike folder missing then select the default 125 500 990 = Data missmatch

Big thanks to all the people I have used a link to there work on this guide

Updated bike mod link

Suggestions and wishlist / Change Intro movie
December 29, 2013, 10:14:58 AM
After a clean install on a SSD the intro movie started and I hit escape  ;D seen it before.
What if we could change that movie and replace it with a replay it could be our fastest lap.
The last lap of the first race we won or a epic battle or the bike Mod V1.0 with several different bikes.
But then would I watch it more then once ;D
