Thx Nick and Matty The base color (not yet final) I changed it because the real bike is the grayish, as you can see from this photo:

Because if I do not, the shadows are too light, (template problem) i adjusted a little with the contrast and brightness, for the moment are here:

Creating a copy of the layer and placing it in multiply, the result seems identical to yours, you say? (Maybe just a little darker)

Brightness +25 and the contrast +35 on my layer  and no difference with your picture 

Looks fine to me?

Maybe the difference is that on my bike i used a shadow layer on top to give everything a bit more depth...

You say the same? I'm really blind? xD

EDIT: yes It must be to, I test now 

Have you checked your opacity and fill settings? Just thinking you may have left opacity or fill at 70 or 80%?

I checked both have 100, maybe i have some strange settings on PS? (with the colors i suck  )

Yellow is f0ec4d

These are the excact colors of the original picture.
The green looks spot on, the yellow could be a bit brighter imo, so you`ll have to choose something that suits your taste.

Surely I lose a step, if I put that color I get this, is no different?

Have you tried usino exposure to tone down the lightness? Might give you the shade you want? Worth a try.

Yep  Nick in his second image was close (I speak only the basic color) i not yet arrived at a decent result
