When i go to race i've this problem ..

Which server are you trying to connect with?

Is the server your trying to connect with password protected, or is only for a certain category of bike that you don't have or not selected? This can cause a timeout message. Some guys run their own servers that you require a password for or for only 1000cc machines, etc, etc...

Are you trying to connect with a MOD server? And if so, have you downloaded and installed the MOD required?

Were do you live? I only ask because I'm wondering how far away from the sever you are situated(The servers are based in Europe). Sometimes if you live very far away you can experience timeouts.

Have you set your connection settings in GP Bikes for Cable/DSL?

Before you double click the Gp Bike.exe to start the install, try right clicking on the execute file, select properties, and check to see if there is an "Unblock" button showing in the "Generals" tab? If there is then click that "Unblock" button to unblock it and give it another try, and run it as admin.

Just a thought, but it might work for you in this situation. ;)

PS: It could be wise once you uninstall your current installation of Gp Bikes to just give your system a good clean up, registry too,  with CCleaner before you try the above suggestion.

Getting loads of core.exe's on this track at the moment. The server(Track 6) may need restarting?
Done.

Thanks dibu.  ;)

Plugins / Re: Telemetry software ?

At the moment unfortunately there is no company interested in a collaboration for the telemetry software.
Not surprisingly, I'd say. They'll surely want to gain something for it, so it's a bit hard for KRP and totally impossible for GPB/WRS.

If anyone knows the file format of a telemetry analysis software, please share it.
I tried to search around but I came up empty handed  :-\

Only thing I've seen is that iRacing has a partnership with McLaren Electronic Systems allowing to use ATLAS (http://www.virtualr.net/iracing-com-atlas-telemetry-now-available).
We'd be happy with much much less (honestly, ATLAS is probably overshooting it by a mile, even for iRacing).

MaX.

P.S.
I'm starting to have a look at wxWidgets to create something from scratch but, to be honest, it's a PITA.

I think they use a plugin in rfactor for the Motech telemetry system... Just wondering if it might be possible to incorporate Motech telemetry capture into Gp Bikes like it is in rfactor? Must be something or someone in the rFactor/2 forums that might be of help with this?

Just a thought. ;)

Is there any chance of this bug being fixed for the next race, or is it a major bug that will only be fixed, maybe, with the next beta release?

Easily fixed (sort of) only do dry races  ;)

If it's not a big bug to fix, I'd hope Piboso can take some time to fix it as a quick patch update or something. Real weather really adds to the unpredictability of the event and mixes things up very nicely. Otherwise we are just going to get riders who are fast in the dry and no wind conditions winning most of the time. We talk about smoothing tracks out too much, well in a way, having no weather at all for races is just as bad as having a track that has no undulations in it, don't you think?

But if this cannot be fixed for the next events, then it would be wiser to run them in the dry so we can see the replays, but just some wind(if you can) would help mix things up a bit. Hehe

Real Weather is GREAT!!! ;D ;D 8)

WOW! Class A: All top 8 within a second of each others fastest lap. If they were all consistent that would be one hell of a race to watch! ;D

The first 2 laps were SUPER close but unfortunately the replay isn't saved correctly :(

Yeah. That's such a shame we won't get to see it. :(

Replay of server B is online (477MB). I had no time to check how it behaves.

Thanks for the upload dibu. Appreciated ;)

Just tried this replay. It only shows the last 11mins 54secs of the race.... It's disappointing as I was really looking forward to seeing the whole race. :(

Correct....477 mb of data shows only 11 min. 54 sec. :(

I send a file with screenshots from server B to Arvoss, i took pictures during qualification and race.

Yey! At least we'll see some pics of the whole event. ;D 8)

Nicely done, Peter! ;) ;D
