Its with default setting.

What is strange is with full preload the problem doesn't seem worse  ???  .I supposed with a much lower bike problem should be worse. I guess with this setting it has less travel, but ......

sorry for oftopic here
With full preload your grounding problem should not happen due to the bike being higher off the ground when suspension is compressed? I'm sure this is right?

Any chance of creating new spectator replay cameras for COTA(Austin)? The current cameras for that track might as well not exist. LOL ;D

I just remembered this link to tracks on GP Bikes Italia they have rated some for playability
http://gp-bikes-italia.forumfree.it/?t=66237776
May help
Hi Ian.

Thanks for that. ;)

I do have a track rating chart for the track ratings, but I feel a lot of the tracks are very much over rated. I mean there are tracks I know are very much unrideable at this time that are rated at a 8 or 9 out of 10, which is ridiculous.  This is why I wanted to start a fresh rating from the community to hopefully get a true up to date rating on all current tracks used for online racing with GP Bikes.

Seeing as this poll for all tracks will take some time, I might yet post that other chart to see what the community thinks of it, and just update it as and when these polls here produce a final result for each track.. :)

i found it for rfactor and thought about converting it to wrs

Is it possible to convert some of those new tracks from rFactor2? Those tracks look incredible!! Epecially Silverstone! ;D ;D

Did you tried them with the last R6 version?

With this one i was touching the fairing on the floor all around in tracks like Misano and Paul Ricard, same happen with the default Varese, what is a pain. Cant touch rear brake or fairing touch the floor and fall. This is with the default setting with no preload on suspensions.
In Misano i had to tune the suspension to avoid this problem.

Warlock! That's why your so fast! Hehe ;D

What setting do you usually set your suspension to? As I didn't experience those problems. Just as a note, I have been trying a lot lower bump/rebound settings and seems to hold the line better round corners. But still had no scrapping of fairing around Misanao or Paul Ricard; have you got your suspension almost bottoming out with no preload at all front or rear?

What I am trying to highlight is whats needed to get this game ready for the new motogp season.
This will make the game more attractive to new customers and ready for Ver 1.0

+1 on that, Ian. Also for a GP500 season I hope.  ;) ;D

Could we do some sort of Race series country vs country?
A bit like the old Trans Atlantic series in the 70s and 80s.

I think this is a great idea! ;D And yes, some countries will be more represented than others, but hey, it would still be great fun! ;D 8)

If a table of current results was posted, it might even encourage more riders from countries less well represented to take part?

I like to see tracks and bikes finished before release. This beta stuff a bit of a pain

Releasing in beta is a good thing, simply because it helps the modding community sort out any problems, and also helps to improve the product by user feedback.

It also helps users to learn how to install/implement bikes/tracks and paints as well as learning a lot of other useful information in the process.

Anything and everything is easy once you've learned know how to do it. ;D

With the new mod bikes making an appearance recently in GP Bikes, I and others have noticed that particulary with the R6, the performance of the physics and ridability of the bike/s, especially on tracks were riding a default bike was pretty pointless, due to what was presumed the track being very bumpy on certain corners(and some still are), I have to raise the question:

Is it the fault of the tracks or the bikes that cause/d a large number of tracks to be previously almost unrideable before the appearance of the current mod bikes(Especially with regards to the R6)?

A lot of work and talent has been implemented to get the R6 physics correct, so I'm thinking that maybe the physics on some other bikes(Not all), especially default bikes is way out and therefore the reason they cannot cope with the bumps and undulations on certain tracks?

So is it the case that when all bikes physics have been corrected, that track performance will greatly improve without(to a great extent) the need for track modders to smooth certain track surfaces?

Has anyone else noticed this?

Hawk.

PS: @Admins - Not sure if this is in correct forum catergory? Put it here because it is related to modders with the question of performance in relation to track/bike modding. :)

Just curious do we have Jerez?
Quote from: Warlock on January 12, 2014, 09:23:34 AM
Unfortunately no........  :(

I can't remember who it was, but I seem to remember that someone from the old forum last year said they were working on creating the Jerez track, but I've heard nothing since. :(

Would be great to have Jerez! ;D

This is a hard poll for me kind of open ended. Which bike class am I on? I nearly like all the tracks, there are a few I don't personally like the authors version off. Some tracks I like on the 990 better then others. The R6 seems to do good on most of them well. So it's hard for me to answer in this poll.

If we could do a poll with multiple categories per track to put a opinion on. Like 1-10 Track Surface, Preferred Bike? 1-10 how close does it capture the source material? 1-10 Is the tarmac on the virtual version wide enough for racing? And so on.

Just a idea.

I've had another look at the Forum Poll Generator, and unfortunately from what I can see it doesn't allow such a sophisticated poll, as you have suggested, to be generated.

I'm just trying to create a general community track rating guide for the community and modders benefit; a detailed guide can be correlated at a later date when all bike physics and tracks have been finally sorted out, because as you say, the R6 seems to perform better, even on tracks that another bike has big problems with; now is this difference in performance the track at fault? Or is this difference in performance the physics of the bike at fault? This would make a good debate, and very worthy of it's own thread. ;D

+1 Klax75,

Not to mention there are 2 versions of Albi.  :o

I take your point, and yes it can be confusing so I'll make it clear as to what track this poll relates to and also I'll make it clearer in any future polls. ;) :)

So just to make things clear: This poll is for the track file named  "Albi" ,NOT for the track named "Albi2011_1.0"

he gave me a big folder on a storage device,  mods, tracks, hyperlinks and max files were in there he said to do what I wonted with them. I looked at 3dmax website but the price is stupid and I never done anything like this, Hope this helps as some tracks just suck,

Hi RBp.

This helps very much! ;D

What I'll do is create a database and post it here in the forum MODS/Tracks section so anyone with the time and talent has access to the base model files and can get some of these tracks sorted for us all to enjoy. ;)

I might even try and sort one out myself if I can find the time, but I really want to do a 1982 YZR OW60 500cc Yamaha and rider first. :P ;D

Thanks again for sourcing these files for us; BRILLIANT JOB and very much appreciated, RBp!! ;D ;D

This link should work: https://www.mediafire.com/?waip3opdwb5u3
