On a cold but sunny final day of the season at the Jerez circuit, nearly 18,000 fans celebrated along with teams and riders the victories of the newly proclaimed CEV Repsol 2013 Champions in each of the categories.

Fabio Quartararo (FRA-FTR) rode a spectacular race to take a third straight win and his first CEV Repsol Championship title in Moto3™. Rivals Marcos Ramírez (SPA-KTM), Adrian Martín (SPA-Kalex-KTM) and Hafiq Azmi (MAL-KTM) followed in his tracks and fought an intense battle lap after lap for leadership of the group. With one lap to go, Martín attacked and just when it seemed that he would cross the line in second position, Ramirez fought back to steal the 20 points a few meters from the end. María Herrera (SPA-KTM), firm favourite for the title, started out leading the race until the third lap when she crashed out. The second surprise of the day was the withdrawal of another candidate for the title, Alejandro Medina (SPA-KTM). The Team Calvo rider was forced into the pits on lap nine due to problems with his gearshift.

In Moto2™, winner Alex Mariñelarena (SPA-Kalex) put in an overwhelming performance. Right from the starting lights the Targobank rider pulled clear to ride alone right to the finish line. Hafizh Syahrin (MAL-Kalex) took second position and along with Mariñalerena is now bound for the world championship. In third spot on the podium and for the first time this season was Sebastián Porto (ARG-Kalex). Román Ramos (SPA-Ariane) crossed the finish line in fifth position to become CEV Repsol Moto2 Champion. Ramos, leader of the overall standings by 20 points, lapped steadily, avoiding risks that could jeopardize his title hopes.

There was a clash of the titans between Carmelo Morales (SPA-Kawasaki) and Iván Silva (SPA-BMW Motorrad) in both the Stock Extreme races scheduled today. In the morning race, after continuous changes in position, risky overtaking and even a touch during the first laps ―which cost Silva a position― Morales rode home alone to his second victory of the season. Runner-up was Xavier Forés (SPA-Ducati). Kenny Noyes (USA-Suzuki) added 16 points to his total after the Silva's sanction.

The second race of Stock Extreme started with everyone keeping one eye on the calculator. After a first lap dominated by Forés, Silva and Morales took the leading role until the Team Calvo rider went down on lap 14. With his rival out of action, Silva lapped comfortably in first place. Behind, oblivious to the struggle of the leaders, Xavi Forés crossed the finish line in fourth place as CEV Repsol Stock Extreme Champion. Third place went to Kenny Noyes, who this time participated in the podium ceremony.

With the Champions crowned, the finishing touch of the 2013 CEV Repsol season was provided by Repsol riders Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa. The world champion and third-place finisher in the 2013 MotoGP™ came to Jerez to support the younger riders and the coming talents of the championship.

CEV Repsol action returns to Jerez on 6 April, with the start of the new 2014 season of the FIM CEV Repsol International Championship 2014.
