Bike MOD
« on: September 05, 2015, 10:53:46 AM »
Hello everybody,

The Bike MOD will be updated Every Friday. Bikes released between these dates will be added to the next Bike MOD. Again, the bikes will be available via their individual files or all bikes are in the BikeMOD file.

There is a separate Paints Database over in the paints section of the forum HERE.

When there is a MOD update I will post a link to the bike within the database so it will be easier to find and download.

Bike categories are listed in their names (i.e. GP 100 bikes will have GP1000_ prefix and GP 500 will have GP500_ etc.) See THIS post for more detail. This is more for organisation or if you would like to have bikes from one catagory

As of Bike MOD V3.00 (29th May) I will be replacing Bike Folders with .pkz files. The .pkz file is native to the platform (It is a re-named .zip file) and it can be read directly by the Core engine. This makes the process a lot simpler and easier when updating bike. One file (a .pkz file) rather than up to 50 files and 2 folders being changed at a time. This should also make the FTP process quicker as the .pkz files are slightly smaller in size than the raw files.

This does mean however that if paints are being installed then you will have to make a folder with the bike name and a paints folder inside that. HOWEVER this will only have to be done ONCE per bike. From then on that folder can stay there and DOES NOT have to be delete and updated each time. Just add new paints as and when the become available. This may seem like more work but again, it does actually save time as you will not have to make a copy of bikes paints each time you update files. For anyone who uses the FTP, I will upload the folders so you will already have them to put paints in.

Also, with Beta 12, tyres are now seperate from the bikes. They are uploaded the same as the bikes, so just download them and they go in the Tyres folder.

Installing the .pkz files is EXACTLY the same as the folders. Just put the .pkz file into the bikes folder and they will appear in game.

P.S. ANY QUESTIONS/SUGGESTIONS/COMMENTS PLEASE TELL ME!!

As before, I did not make any of these bike mods, so all credit goes to the talented individuals and teams that made these bikes for us to enjoy.
