Weird rev limiter behaviour

Thought I would try the new rev limiter sound and the behaviour seems odd. I was expecting the 'bouncing off the limiter' type behaviour but the bike just seems to sit at full power if you hold it against the limiter.

I would expect a more cyclic; rev limiter cuts in, power and revs drop, engine kicks back in and power surges until it hits the rev limiter again or is this assumption incorrect?

Never really noticed the behaviour until I tried adding limiter sound.

Thank you.

The dedicated rev limiter sound is steady on purpose, because the samples already incorporate the throttle and engine rpm "bouncing off" the limiter.

OK, thanks for the explanation - I was assuming it behaved like the usual looped sound hence the strange results
