The update only fix the rider foots position. No mismatch. Only visual.

If you unpacked the .pkz files to put paints you will have to delete all the files except paints folders of moto2 bikes.

It was established by a qualification and race, could not enter the server. Why are some coming in?

Hi guys. I have been absent from GP-Bikes for quite some time.

I am looking at getting back into it - Is the championship still open for new entries?

teeds

Only 3 races left, next one this Sunday. Should be room if you want to race, there are 2 races at different times of the day http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=5847.0

It was a nice championship, thank you Gzehoo for starting it and Teeds for finishing it

Grats to Wimp of course and Teeds for stopping a whitewash lol!

I enjoyed the tracks, lovely to use new ones and old ones we never used much before - some of them are really great!

Thank you.

"The post you are writing has been written at least ten times already in the last 15ish years. Its already been reported, suggested, discussed, ignored or archived (but mostly ignored). Why are you doing it again?"

Pretty nice championship !!!!

Congrats to the podium Wimp, Teeds and Mr developer Manu.

I joined to the championship late but the last two races were amazing.

Next champ more and better.

In the moment of Gzehoos retreat I promised to suspend judgement about the championchip. Now the championship is over...and I would do a retrospection.

But before that I would thank Gzehoo, teeds, Manu and Wimp for their work. My first online bike championchip brought much fun for me.  :)
But for the next championchip I think something could be a bit more professional (I'm a hard man to pleased).  ;)

In my sight this things wasn't ideal in the past championchip:
1. Wimp win all races (if he participated), except he is starting without qualification. Big gratulation to Wimp! You are really the best!
But in real life it's unrealistic. If Doohan dominates the GP500 championchip in the 90th he doesn't won all races. I miss the consequences of mistakes, crashes (if it's not the own fault too). Without that the results of the races are very predictable.
2. Many tracks have a lot of run-off areas. If drivers uses this areas they have an advantage. Like I said on another place it's like playing volleyball without defined playing field. Even if the driver lifting the throttle that he doesn't have an advantage it's not good for suspense, 'cause faults have no effects. That's another reason that the results are predictable.
3. I think we all have better races if we can split the races in a faster and a slower grid (if we have more than 24 participants). In some races I loose totally my concentration initiated by early overlappings.
4. In the first races some people couldn't race because the server was complete.
5. The results/classification wasn't transparent. For some races I couldn't find the result from the other (15CET) race (except Motegi).
By the way: Before I decide to bying my GPB licence sometimes I have had a look in the forum in threads from test races. Often I doesn't see a result. So I thought because that "there must be bigger problems with GPB"...and do not buy the licence.
5.1 At Assen I get a higher score in classification than #6 Alvaro, but he was an half minute faster than me. Maybe he has driven the 15CET race too and was slower in this race but I can't know that (can't find a result from 15CET race)?
5.2 At Aragon vice versa I have driven one lap more than Alvaro and I get a lesser score. I know in this race GPB forgot to count some laps of some drivers. And maybe the original GPB result would be used for classification. But I missed the information about that. And I'm sure in one or more earlier races the result would be corrected.
5.3 For the past championchip we had only a few rules. One was 80% rule. It seems this rule was considered in some races (the first races I think) in some not(the last races).
5.4 The comparing of overlapped and not overlapped drivers wasn't correct. I said it more than one time, but nobody except me see this problem.  :-\

Unfortunately for 1. and 2. I have not really an idea what we can do at the moment to make it better, but we can make 3., 4. and 5. better: transparence, clear definition to 5.2, and so on.

We made the best of it I think, perhaps not the best idea to start a championship then decide how to run it ;)

On point 5 you are correct, he did the earlier race and was scored correctly on the 1st race results.

@Olaf: Solutions for 1 could be for Piboso to put an option(only settable by the server/event admin) in the server script so that if you crash then your out of the race. This will force riders to race more realistically instead of riding like a kamakazi rider all the time knowing that if they crash they can always respawn and carry on with the race.

Solution for 2 could be to install checkpoint penalties in the event tracks so that if you run off the track limits at certain points then the rider incurs a 5 second penalty automatically, but you do have to be careful where you install the checkpoints to avoid an unfair penalty, ie: if a rider crashes and skittles into one of these checkpoints then that rider not only has the natural penalty of time wasted due to the crash but also the added time penalty because during the crash he hit the checkpoint penalty.... So this one is not an easy solution to implement to be fair. Unless of course we have the one crash and your out option set as I suggested for solution 1, then of course it would matter?  :)

I've always advocated the one crash and your out feature for serious races because otherwise the races are no better than a joke....an arcade game and not a simulation of an event. And I know they'll be those riders who will say that not all crashes result in the rider not being able to continue, but let's face it, most crashes do result in too much damage for a bike to safely continue the race.  :P
Plus the fact that the way it is at the moment, a rider can ride like a bat out of hell knowing that if he crashes then he can just respawn without penalty and continue on again riding like a bat out of hell, and so long as he doesn't crash too often then there is a good chance, if he is a fast rider, he will win over any other rider that is riding with some sense of reality and sensibility for his own safety. :)

Edit: Or maybe an option in the server script to allow a certain number of crashes before your out.... Say 2 or 3 crashes and your out seems fair to me?

This would be a welcome addition as there was at least one participant in the 20:00 CET race who took out two other participants in Marquez, not Lorenzo, style.

If the community wants people to continue to participate then something needs to be done about reckless and irresponsible hooliganism. In both races yesterday I was dead last off the line [on purpose] so if you recklessly crashed into me going into turn one in the second race you were behind me because you had crashed at least once already.
