personal preference init.
Like the fashion thing you said, if you think something looks good, or it just feels good, why shouldn't you do it? its not negatively effecting the racing.
also i think alot of people would ride through someones leg if theyre dangling it if they really had to. no riders have complained about others doing it so it cant be much of a problem. just the spectators being bitches ;)

It's no big deal to me what they do these days really..... I've already lived through and experienced the greatest of all motorcycle racing era's(the GP500 era), since then Dorna, electronic controls  and heavy commercialisation have more or less totally ruined the heart of the sport; there are no real characters or for that matter real riders anymore either; a monkey could jump on a MotoGP bike nowadays and ride fast..... Okay, maybe just a little exaggeration concerning the monkey there but you get my drift right. Lol  ;D

But let's face it, leg-dangling doesn't look very professional does it? I mean it's the sort of thing kids do when they're learning to ride a bike for the first time! It just looks totally incompetent and UGLY!! Lol!! ;D ;D

Like most youngsters today, they seem to have no sense of grace, technique or style!! "Feels good" my arse... Do they get a thrill from the wind blowing around their leg or something? Lol!  ;D ;D

Bring back Kenny Roberts or any of the top GP500 riders from their hey-days and they'd run rings around these modern guys, and do it with style and finesse too!! ;D :P

I mean what are we going to see next? Riders sticking a pair of horns on the front of their fairing or helmet cause they think it looks good? I suppose they'd say that helps balance the bike too! Haha!  ;D ;D

i agree, ive tried it myself and felt nothing beneficial, makes me feel like im going to crash lol. (im nowhere near fast enough to warrant this)
I agree it looks stupid, and if someone studied it thoroughly i believe theyd find nio benefit from doing it at all

it looks very messy and unprofessional in my opinion...

Brad rays moment on lap 9 last corner (oulton Park) goes to show the benefit of pale dangling in the wet... but I've never seen anything like that in the dry.

I'm no expert at it but in physics wise moving some weight to the inside of the bike would change the centre of mass and make it slightly easier to turn at speed. However I suspect the effect a single leg has in this may be negligible, idk, never tried it personally. However, I always understood it that the leg dangle was because you missed your braking mark, such as Rossi in Jerez, but at the end of the day I guess it comes down to preference. .  That being said it is a common part of motorcycle racing these days, and as GPB classes itself as a Sim, it should represent as many aspects as possible however stupid. Such as the 'Dr Dangle'
