Never have i complained about delays nor will i do so in the future. None of my or warlock`s deleted posts were insulting, attacking or negative about you or GPB in general.

"An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages." - Wikipedia

It`s quite clear that this has become a developers blog, with no room for discussions amongst members who helped support the sim & forum in every way we could.
Deleting posts and closing threads that you don`t like personally isn`t going to solve anything. It will just frustrate more people and drive them away eventually.

Juju made the right choice, he`s not alone.

Don`t forget to delete this now.

Warlock

I've never complained about delays, never.
I've been discussing with many people here, defending your work , trying to keep people calm and wait for the releases, giving the feedback i can.
And i feel now like kicked in the face, just because im trying to help you not to go crazy with the forum.
A forum is for us, even if you host it. We can discuss what we want (about the sim, the developing or whatever is related to the sim) if we are respectful and not insulting. I'm sorry but that's what a forum is.

Sad to say but, i'm out of the forum too, this new rules are unacceptable for an actual society. I'm not a child , i'm 43 years old, i'm always respectfull and never insult others. There is no need to delete my posts.

Hope you can understand.

Then you don't understand the amount of pressure and stress this damn forum is generating in an already extremely stressed person.
Not all projects have an official forum, maybe GP Bikes shouldn't have one.

I totally agree with both discussions but can't we just stop with this conversation now, I'm just getting up to speed with you quick boys and you'll all retiring from the game, let's stop and start afresh see where we end up.

I can sense good racing ahead so chill people

Warlock

I really understand what you are saying, man, i told you before i understand your position, trust me , i understand you.

But in my opinion you are taking it in a personal way. You shouldn't get stressed with what people are saying in the forum, people in general are idiot, including me.
You should take this as a tool for you to know how are the things out there, get feedback.

Do you think if Milestone has a forum they would take seriously what they read in the forum, or get stressed?    Absolutely NO. They only take from the forum what they think is necesary for them to do a good product. Anything else they don't give a s***t.

Please think about this, think like a company not like a single person. Put a wall between you and us, don't let the forum stress you. I think is something that any company manager, boss or whatever is exposed to public critiques should learn to do.

I have my own business, a creative business, and for sure people complaint about my work, i know it. But i have to learn to deal with this and don't get stressed, its only a feedback for me.

Please think about this calmly. All i want is GPB to be a succesfull project. Those last rules you set will kill the comunity and give you a false feedback of how the project is going on.

Toomes, what we are talking about is not negative, is something we have to talk about, for the sim to be a succesfull product.  Is necesary we talk about this like grown people, calmly and respectfull. We are not shouting each other, we are talking.

To be detached from comments is the first thing you learn when entering the gaming industry. But it is much easier when working on a game 40 hours a week for a salary, in a company. When you are alone and you get criticism and even threats ( YEAH, I even got those ) about YOU personally, and not your projects you work for 80 hours a week, a DAMN project you only LOSE money and time on, then you get VERY stressed.

Look, i`m sorry you have to deal with bullshit like that, people are assholes and there is nothing you`re going to do about that. But that`s no reason to act it out on people sharing their opinions. You can`t let personal feelings interfere when you`re running a forum.

Yes you right, i understand. That's people, that's this world, sadly... not much we can do about that.....people will always push you to the limit....
But think what you have done, is AMAZING and people know this, even if they are all day criticizing,
Who really trust in this project will wait for years if necesary (all day complaining , but they will wait), so take your time. It sounds sad you call this a DAMN project (but i understand)

I know you cant be too patient or work less hours, because you are investing money on this, and loosing it. Only you know how hard this is, but you also know great projects are very difficult.
Only you know how far you can go in this circumstances. I can only hope you keep with the project untill it see some benefits.

In the other hand, we talked before about some questions to keep people happy and buying the game while you continue perfecting what you think it can be better. You know what i'm talking about, i'm not going to start that discussion again, we already did enough.

Well, i don't really know what to say to make you feel better, ..........but deleting posts is not the way. You need us, and we need you happy and healthy.
Only i can say is if people is free to post whatever they want, i will stay here and try to keep people calm as i've been doing many time.

I'm not going to be a moderator of the forum, i will be a moderator as a user , as always, because thats me, i dont like to bother others to the point they get stressed and also i dont like to see others doing it.
If we all think like this, we don't even need a moderator. Hope people here that have seen all what happened before take note of this.

Piboso as you said, maybe GP Bikes shouldn't have a forum. If you think it will be better for you and for the project,.....man, go ahead. Close it before people start to post things that the consider important like in the old forum. Just keep the blog for us to see how is it going. But please advise with some time for people to get ready and recover all what they want before close.

-----------------------------------------

Yeah Toomes, i know what you mean,  those days were fun but also were stressfull and very frustrating days. We were doing an effort to keep it going once the championship started but was very frustrating, every day training , more than 400 laps per week, to have a core.exe crash in the second lap of the race, if you were lucky to connect to the server.
Not yet the day for a new championship.
Don't take me wrong, i'm not complaining about this, really was an experience that i don't regret, i had real fun even with problems and will not forget it in a long time. But we have to wait to do it again in better conditions.
You can see Piboso is having a bad time with all this, so please, we have to be patient. We will revive those days soon or later.

HornetMaX

Piboso, Warlock is right.

This is the "official" GPB/WRS forum and it's nice to have it. However, don't feel obliged to read it, especially if you feel offended and annoyed by some comments (and this will happen, granted).

Your time is precious (and your well being too): get one trusted person to be your eye on the forum and filter all the crap and irrelevant stuff (I mean irrelevant to you).
Only a very tiny percentage of the old forum messages were of any interest for you: don't waste time in reading uninteresting stuff we all post (me included).

Bad critics ? Crazy requests ? Inappropriate comments ? They will come, just ignore.
Threats ? That's bad. Just ignore.
Somebody complaining about delays or how the project is going ? Big deal ... just ignore. Don't even waste the time to delete the message.

Moderating the forum takes time (and puts you in a bad light): just leave the task to somebody else, if you think we do need a moderator.

Put some distance between you and the forum: you only need some feedback from the community and we only need a few infos from you. The rest is bla bla bla.

MaX.

Alone

Reading this, I think, as Max, that Warlock is right. Don´t look at the "dark side of the moon", there´s contructive feedback too and happiness on the forum, just a perspective change about what you read makes difference. I used to think (and still do), reading the posts, that a great percentage of users are happy with the sim, I never put the focus on the reiterative and no founded complains, but is not my bussines... We all are here for something, and that´s your product.

Warlock

I'm sorry to say Ian, but your post is also a personal attack. Thats the perfect way to start a battle.

Please stop now, simply stop.

Ian

I will mate but I was offended at being called a asshole I will delete my thread now I hope Jamoz will do the same

Warlock

Please read again his post, i think he is no talking about you m8, he is talking about people in general as i did before calling people idiots. But the way i say it includes me, people in general.
