There're things I do hate up here in Scotland (mostly the weather), but I have to admit people over here (and likely in the UK in general) are much more civilized than people in southern europe (e.g. spain, france, italy, and likely the rest too): 67,000+ people going to the stadium (where by the way alcohol is allowed) and not a single police officer around. No need. Just amazing !

When I used to work in the Milano stadium (ouch, almost 20yrs ago), at times it was like being in battlefield 4 ...

There's still plenty of Battlefield 4 here mate, my friend goes to her local derby game's Cardiff v Swansea and the Police security is unbelievable.

Yeah, I've heard that even here football crowd is not that different from everywhere else, sad.
But overall, you guys are above the average: at the local train station here, the newsagent's stand has a small box in which people put the money for the newspaper the buy and nobody is overlooking it: in italy/france (where I lived enough to be sure of what I'm saying) not only people would pick up the newspaper without paying, but the box with the money would surely disappear in 10min top.
