How is the final colour of the grass derived from the base grass texture and the colour map? Does the colour map use the alpha channel for mixing?

If the colour map is set, then the final colour of the 3D grass is generated multiplying the map colour by the 3D grass texture colour.
This means that usually the colour map is a scaled-down version of the ground grass texture, while the 3D grass texture is grayscale.
Of course if the colour map is missing then the 3D grass texture is rendered directly.
Thank you for the reply. I had tried the grayscale grass image but got a bit of an odd result, with the concept confirmed I will give it another try.
