Make sure you have the latest mods installed. If the servers uses MOD X.XX you have to download that mod pack ;)

More the server contains riders more you will wait until connected, sometimes i wait a minute, and more the track is long and/or with many polygons, more you will wait. It is the same for your ping, the numbers at the right in the world menu.
thanks everyone, it seems to be working at the minuit, well apart from when the game crashes, which is constantly :) :'(
