Is it possible to lower the temperature on the tires very hot and quickly. I think there was the same problem EDMONTON.

We can try but if you look at the times, on Cloudy (which we mainly use), the track temperature has only reached 33
oC. This is with air temperature at 28
oC.
On most servers they use CLEAR conditions with air temperature at the default 24
oC giving a track temperature average of 40
oC.
So, are we saying tyre temperature is high because of AIR temperature? Cos it isn't caused by TRACK temperature. That may be a question for the developer?
We can always try if the answer is yes???

As I understand it, if you fall the temperature of the side of the tire gets up to 10-20 degrees, but Phillip Island has many fast corners, difficult cool down quickly.

Don't forget with a cloudy setting we raised the air temperature a little because we couldn't get the tyre to the optimum temperature. ::)
But maybe I lower it by just 2 degrees see if that helps then. Will do it in morning. :D

Still getting that 103 deg heat in front tyre after a crash Nick. Did you alter the track or air temps today? Just wondered so I can compare difference, if any. :)

Yes took air temp down 2 degrees. If you check the best laps server you can compare the subsequent change in TRACK temperature over last two days.
The weird thing is the track temperature is already much lower than that normally experienced on other servers running CLEAR skies, as expected, but you would think those servers would be seeing a lot more problems. I would like to know for sure which factor affects the tyre most (in the sim).

I did a test on 20 laps, not going fast but always about 1:33 and the tires come fine at the end of the race (only a fall in the 7th lap).

My test was on hard tires with 17 Litr (but are too many 14-15 be enough)

- i didnt see all bikes, only few of them
- front tire goes up to 2 bar, but im using medium tire, didnt know how it can be

I crashed too much and my hard tyres just melted so had to retire. :(

Ohh eck. Don't forget to set your QUAL and RACE setup in the drop downs at top - race restarts will choose them every time so you don't have to do anything.
Also Race restarts don't use a set of tyres so no worries.

I ride very badly ... but it was fun, at the end of a podium is always a podium XD

As for engine blows it is cumulative as far as I can work out - spend a lot of time banging off the rev limiter and it adds up until it eventually breaks - hmmm a bit like real life. Seems Hotlap riding is no good ;D Which is why Hawky and other like these

This is my problem - lead up to the race, what with server setup and worry that people come and get in, is very frantic and by race start I am often frazzled!
By 3rd restart it is no wonder I flip the bike I have no control of fingers and thumbs any more haha

Yes same old, same old, with the respawns and I don't think B7 will address it either. Grim stuff.
Anyway I really enjoyed that. After slapping myself for the start and a few falls, perseverance and treating the old engine like my GrandMother taught me got me a right old result! ;D
