Rules
Drivers that have signed up and dont appear on the race day, without giving a 24 hour notice will be excluded from any future events i organize.
(any unforeseen circumstances like no interconnection, family matters, will not be counted towards this rule)
Its seems only fair to do it this way because you take a spot on the grid which could have been taken by another driver who can make the race.
No Chat during Qualifying and the Race.
You can find this option under Settings -> Misc -> Track
- Skeet skeet server is up, so you can practice, vote system enabled, so you can skip sessions if need be.
- Post here to say you're in for the race, if so i will put you're name in the list of 12. Full=Full
- Racing class is GP1000cc.

I tried joining the BRNO lobby now that has 4 people in it and it says data mismatch , I have the gp M1 set and i have the correct track in my tracks, Hope this GPB guide helps.

Yes, I used the correct install track , it works offline, and i Just installed the complete 2.0bikes
it did not work on 2 of the online races, said the same thing.
I tried it on one of the "mugello" races and it continued to say connected for 5 min.
I really like this BRNO track, very smooth.
I truly hope to get it up and running to race on Sunday.
Do I have to create any online login or anything?
Like I have all the full purchase license etc and all the good stuff.

I rarely crash and this will be my first "race" on this game however I am very good at all raacing games on different consoles.

with setup, how far can you go, as far as I'm aware, with beta 5b unless everything is set to as soft as possible the bike just folds in corners :-\ i've just been running the softest setting and fiddled with other settings.
Setup isn't gonna bring you 10 seconds.
It will shave of 1 or 2 seconds at max when you're already consistently on your own limits.

I will share my setup with you when we meet in the server. As Jamoz said you can improve a few secs if the setup fits nicely to you, but no more. The rest is a good bestline, good braking points, smooth thottle, skills. Same as real life, some guys can ride like Rossi some guys not.
The real goal in GPB is not always winning but having fun. Have a battle with someone at the same level as you, at the back of the pack, is as fun as it is at the front positions.
The best way to improve is that one, ride with people at the same level as you. That will teach you a lot more than trying to follow a superfast guy. You will slowly and gradually get better over the time.
I really hope I can join in on this. Does anyone have a link to a youtube video of a race, Just so I can see how EPIC this is lol

I'm aware of that :P i'm just not very good at setting up the 1000's, got on the 125 or the 600's and i found a setup straight away, nothing I seem to do on the 1000 makes its any better :(

Thanks, stout gave me some tuition and i got about 3 seconds a lap quicker just can't break the 2.08 barrier.

Those are included in the game itself in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\GP Bikes\gpbikes\bikes.pkz so no need to have them in the bikes folder, unless there are some skins for them, thats not the problem.

all is in the correct place so far as i can see.
Recommend:
Delete (or backup) youre bikes)
start from scratch download all the bikes mentioned seperately, only the 1000cc is fine for this race.
(varese_v594, murasama rc990, msm_125rr_cup_07 and msm_125rr_07 are installed with the game when installed)
Same for the track, delete Brno gp_NDS completely.
Download it again and install it.
If this does not work i have no clue at what it might be.

What is your navigator? Chrome or firefox are the best for Mega, i think.
Be sure to download each bike separately, right clic download, it can cause that kind of problem.
Yes i would do that, download each bike separatelly, a bit of a pain, but to be sure .
Dont worry for your lap times, be slow is not a problem, anyway your lap time is quite good.
I recommend to get used to start procedure, sigh lap and warmup lap, (once you can get online obviously :P)
Hi r1rossi.
Just been having a look at your folder pics and noticed that the "Varese_594" bike file is dated from 2013? Are you sure your using GPBikes Beta5/b? And if so, are you using an old version of the "varese_594" from an older version(maybe beta 4/b)?
It's Just something I noticed while looking at your pics and thought it might help solve your data mismatch issue.

PS:PS: Also noticed you have another GP Bikes beta 4 folder in your "Program Files(86)" folder - You really should also totally delete any previous installations of the old GPBikes versions from your hard drive, including the "Piboso" folder from your "My Documents" folder.
If you didn't do this and installed beta 5/b on top, then I would start again and do a totally fresh install without copying or pasting anything to save time.
No problem to have beta4 installed, i have it.
Just rename the instalation folders. Both, in programs files and my documents

Delete everything that has anything to do with GP bikes. Reinstall, run it and drive around the victoria track for a couple of seconds.
After that unzip the bikes.pkz file and drop the bike mod in that folder. That`s it.
I think you screwed something up in that area.
You don`t need to download the Varese, Murusama & the MSM_125 bikes as they are already part of the game.

@guigui, @Rodrigo Garcia: Sorry for your mishaps! Please be sure to practice the race event's procedures like warm-up lap, sighting lap, grid alignment and starting procedure before the actual event. The server was open the whole week and it was open for the purpose of practicing this - so the actual event could be held without any delays/restarts.

yep event went well, stable no cores.
As for me i came runner up from last position and only cause matty fell a lot.
I fell less then race1, a lot less so that was a big improvement.
Not practicing seems to suit me well :P

First 9 laps, 3 riders in a row with some gap between each other, untill i crashed, race ended for me. I let Stout and Kera go too much (about 2 seconds) in the first lap and i couldn't recover.
I tryed to push harder from lap 6, when i started to be a bit more comfortable, and slowly was cutting the gap with Stout, but few mistakes took me back again and then crashed..... and again, and again :P
Couldn't race with real confidence in whole race, bad day i guess, yesterday i was much better. I did qualify with a 2'00.7 when i'm capable of a 1'59.3 .
Well, overall a very good race and now really impatience for the next one to see if i can do better.

I tryed to push harder from lap 6, when i started to be a bit more comfortable, and slowly was cutting the gap with Stout, but few mistakes took me back again and then crashed..... and again, and again :P
Couldn't race with real confidence in whole race, bad day i guess, yesterday i was much better. I did qualify with a 2'00.7 when i'm capable of a 1'59.3 .

For sure, next event will be held for sure. Only hassle is to find tracks with NDS - because it is obvious that with NDS tracks you pretty much have very low core.exe probability. And that's what we need. Other possibility would be to do race on DS track, but skip all pre-race stuff and jump right into race (maybe 5 mins of qualifying before). We will see.

While putting the replay of the race together, I noticed that PeterV and matty, you were both shown the white flag, while the first riders had already crossed the finish line and were shown the checkered flag. ??? This is a bug right? When you have been lapped by the first riders and the first riders have already been shown the checkered flag, it should also be shown to you. You would end up doing 1lap less, but that is how it is irl.... For some reason you were still racing around the track for your final lap when the first riders were already doing their fan-greetings and wheelie show-offs ???

This happens when the server forgets to count what should have been your last lap: you see the white flag but when you cross the line the server misses it, so at the end of the turn, he still thinks you're on the same lap and it shows you the white flag again.

Thanks for helping out here MaX! As my quick search did not come up with anything, I assume this needs to be added to the bugs section then.
The fact the online server miscounts laps has been reported multiple times.
It happened in essentially all the races in the italian championship (8-10 races if I recall correctly).

Yeah, heard of that. But that doesn't necessarily mean it has been brought up to the dev's attention and it will be adressed... If it already is in the bug's section it is ok, but I didn't find the thread. Maybe I had the wrong search phrase?

that's why i was wheeling in the last lap at silverstone, fortunately i arrived 2°
thats what also happened in the 1st race, but i think is some tracks bug because in some other tracks it's never happened
Final lap flags
Hopefully its Ok to bump this thread with some picture examples/proof for clarity following the Silverstone race. It caught me out at Brno too where I crashed into a leader already doing a burn-out celebration. :-[
Jose lapped me and took the chequered flag. I cross line 15 seconds behind him a little way back to get the White Flag (last lap) so round I go again getting the chequered flag on the next lap. My race should of ended on the same lap as Jose and recorded as one lap down. Note the Time on the pics
