hi, hawk!
thanks for your feedback and for the link!
yes, I started playing maxscl 4 days ago, so it's nothing more than experiment. : P

the video you posted is very interesting with so many rich moments for a good capture.
the sampling rate may be slightly lower than the modern standard, but I could try to improve it within an audio software.

I have the same problem when I edited the sounds of the H2R a while ago. I've no idea how to solve this issue. It's like the trackside camera is using the onboard sound:

EXACTLY!

When you say TV Style, do you mean the 3rd person chase camera (like in your video)?

hi matty!
no. I mean the fixed point of view from out the track.
that video was  focused on the sound mod test, not about the issue. sorry for the misunderstand.  :-\

tomorrow i will upload a video focused on the issue.  ;D

hi!
i'm trying to make some sound mod:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms9xekXZRCU

problem:
watching replay from "tv" style camera the sound it's always like in cockpit view (no passing volume change or doppler effect),

if i set again  the original engine.scl file , the problem disappears.
i have compared the 2 files and i did not find syntax difference.

can some one help me??  :-\
thanks!  :P

Very impressed as sound is pssibly the most difficult thing to get right. Any chance of a classic Ducati twin?

thanks! sure for ducati, but first I would like to compare myself with the 2 strokes challenge!  :P

I look forward to hearing any results that you can come up with.  :)

Personally I'd try and use granular sound sampling from videos to try and obtain the required 2 stroke sound samples you'd need, but you may know a better way?

i will make some experiments with 2 strokes next days.  :P

granular sampling it's a good idea, but i think i will start with classic tools like a progressive pitch curve, for flatting tuning.  and "copy, paste, reverse"  for obtain a longest sample (instead of stretching)

i don't know if it's a better idea, i only hope to do something good ::)

hi! thanks for the messages and for welcoming!

i'm still trying to understand if i'm doing it in the right way! :P

sure, i will try some 2 strokes sounds too, but i think it's not so easy to find good recodings around, right?

this is my first sound mod attempt, but i'm going to keep working on it: i dont't like the sound on high rev.
