wait, racing with wet conditions with nds tracks is impossible
Oh why is that? Our Mantorp Park wet race wasn't so bad?

For me a maybe.
Ohhhh all you fast riders with your 'traction control' bikes ::) pffffff
Well I don't use TC, the Duke doesn't have it anyway. It's in the garage settings but doesn't move from 0 ::)
Not that I'm super fast..... But I don't have TC either. :P
Better and more fun without TC anyway! Hehe. ;D 8)
Hawk.
Great fun race today, crashed 3 times but still led until last few corners when hard charging Alby took over!
Thanks Nick, good choice for a club race.
Sorry, there was a whitelist fail there but it gave me someone to lap which has never happened before.
Another race where I think I should get a "HE DIDNT RAGE OUT" Trophy ::)
Hopefully you all enjoyed it ;)
Congrats to Alby for the win. Well done mate! ;D 8)
I had a terrible race.... I fell once then just kept fall too easily..... I'm sure there is an issue with the tyres altering too much after a fall, at least for a few of laps after the fall because after my first fall the bike just kept falling very easily even though I was purposely taking it steady?? I've had this before but have never understood what it's all about? Something doesn't seem right....
Anyway I still had great fun - I just love wet tracks(could've done without it raining though. It's hard to see! Lol). ;D
Sounds like you guys at the front had a close battle at times. Can't wait to see the replay! ;D
Thanks for the race guys! And thanks Nick, your work is appreciated mate! We're having a lot of fun at GPBOC. ;D 8)
Hawk.
PS: Thanks for the restart guys. Appreciated after I got the core.exe crash on going to the grid. Thank you. ;) 8)

Well done to everyone and thanks for supporting and thank you all for allowing a restart too.
I agree Hawk there is definitely something happening after a fall. That's twice now my bike has become un-rideable after a fall (to be fair to me I didn't even fall it was a respawn-into-me-annoying-feckin-saga that needs fixing! ::) er please.
I thought it was a tyre problem personally - temperatures????? But there is something going on hopefully someone knows something about it.
thanks for the race nick.
wos verry fast and fair races :D
grats alby to win the race and podium to 8)
i am happy to win the quali ;)
yeh! Well done for that too fin!
And some solace for me is my best race lap would of qualified me in 4th. Oo yeh 8) irrelevant lol
great race everyone, see you next race
i couldn't even do a lap without a fall during qualify, then i raised tyres pressure
Yes Finpower brilliant qualy lap. Was expecting you to fly off at the race start, what happened?
Congrats Alby, I see you have not lost your pace.
Hawk, yes so true about tyres after fall, I always tbought it was cold tyres, as if they revert back to garage settings, but no idea really!
i dont see my startplace.i go with lucky on the rigth place,
and i dont see the light and i waith and start, when the drivers gon .
i kant explaint that.
i have never time so probs

Raising tyre pressures shouldn't make you go faster in the rain unless they were too low in the first place? Or am I wrong on this? It was a long time ago when I used to race so I may not remember fully. Hehe ;D
Must admit, I was surprised with your Qualy-time that you ended up winning. But well done mate, nicely done!! ;D 8)
Hawk.
Sorry i couldnt make it :( will send a link tomorrow of why i couldnt ;)

i joined late+i didn't have a setup, after running 3 laps i found the pressure was too low, 1.20 bar or less. Anyway, the replay isn't tonight's replay ;D
Is the replay file correct? I downloaded it and it was the previous Silverstone race with the drying track? :-\
Hawk.
EDIT: Thanks for confirming about the replay file Alby. I wasn't sure if it was just me being an old git going nutty. Hehe ;D
Yeh those tyres are very cool even with the raised air and ground temperatures.
The bike tyre physics says optimum is 75oC but I couldn't get anywhere near it really. So as temps never went up then pressures never went up - hence you had to inflate them more than normal to get them round 21psi on the track. That's all good physics wise but we should be able to get wet tyres to their optimum in the wet!
To me (real) wet races benefit from slightly softer pressure, not harder, but then I'm the same - maybe the laws of physics changed in the last 20 years haha ;)
Replays - Oh crumbs that's odd I must go check through the recycle bin hang on....
Correct REPLAY link (https://www.dropbox.com/s/pfk3u1yx2mlwy8v/20150628-205744-Silverstone%20GP%20V0.95_NDS_.zip?dl=0) sorry about that - both posts updated. :-[
Give it 5 mins to upload
thank toy for the replay!
Also sorry for Patrick and Gzehoo too for their starts (lack of starts :(). What went wrong?
Better luck next time I hope, if you need help with starts just ask please. ;)
I want to see the replay! XD
I think to come back for next week, and I hope with a ping monstrously low ;D
I'm waiting the router to the new fast line!
I think I've found the problem. :o
I have asked the "help to off" in the settings.
wanted everything to real. 8)
PS: Thanks Giorjoe for the good setup for kawa :)

I raged out after getting not only one lap without crashing. In training I did some very consecutive laps around 2:09. So I just thought "fuck it" and went to bed. :)
hehe fair enough Patrick ;D
There is only one cure - practice practice practice, then still fall every lap then practice some more then repeat lol.
See you for the next one mate. ;)
Was learning more every race lap as I didn't do much practice but really enjoyed it, thanks for organising Nick :)
That Ducati has a weird screen in the wet, rain sticks to an area that's bigger than the visible one, no biggie but odd.
Yes! I remember seeing that too in 1st Person.
Don't come round here saying you had no practice and still came 4th mate >:( hahahaha well done ;D
i just saw the posts about tyre pressure in wet and i can help a little maybe :)
We (at least on 125GP and Moto3) use higher pressure when rain tyres.
The reason is simple, the tyres are made with the pattern and is made, that the pattern should lead water away, at low pressure, the tyre gets flatter and it can't lead the water away as easy. As soon as you raise the pressure, you will make the pattern more open and it will lead the water away better, which causes less "aquaplanning" and better grip :D
Hope this help the understanding of why Alby could go faster with higher pressure :)

Very interesting..... Do you know what temperatures the real wet tyres work best at too? Because tyres temps don't seem to work correctly with tyres in GPB according to tyre pressures?
Thanks for that info Meyer. ;) 8)
Hawk.

Hawk.
Unfortunately i don't know exactly, because i was more a rider of the feeling with the bike, setup and everything and after a bit of time on the bike, you don't think so much about checking everything, because you know how the bike feels when tyre temp is right.
But as far as i remember, we ran the tyres in around 65-75 degrees, much higher than 80 you will start to loose quite a lot of grip + the tyre wear will increase..
Compared to many riders i was racing, harder tyres, even i was a much smoother rider, which seems odd. But it must be something about how i ride the bike, i was late on the brakes but i wasn't hard on the rear tyre with spins or anything, it was a perfectly smooth riding i had and no sudden attack on the throttle, but rolling on the throttle. Seems to be about my lean angle and the way i kept little higher corner speed, that must have putted extra pressure on the tyres.
I am wondering if there is same sort of thing in here? i mean that some riders goes harder on brakes and throttle and some riders rather keep up corner speed? does that affect a lot on tyre choice? at least it seem to be like that to me, i normally go one compund harder than you guys on the races. :)
The only thing i was looking for when i raised tire pressure was just raise the pressure, cause it was too low, and the temperatures were low too. Thanks meyer for explaining more ;)
