Track modders might find it interesting that this server hosting Monza has not had one reset since being started and still has its best-lap server connection.
To me there is a track/connection connection er connection.
Edit: please report any 'cores' here too it will be interesting to compare.
I try 20 laps and i see you can make quali map for all race (1,17 lt /lap) and the hard finish in 22 laps... now for give more strategy to the race i propose 22 laps for the event. You must change your map during race (quali1,17 - race1 1,1- race2 1,06) and save your tyres

Yesterday I had only one core in about 30+ laps :P
P.S. 22 laps is an exaggeration ... 20 are already too many to stay focused in front of a screen. And the consumption vary a lot from rider to rider I consume much more.

Personally I'd like to see more proper real length races.....
Staying concentrated, focused and consistent over a real race length is part of what real racing is about in my opinion. Makes you think about strategies more than just going hell for leather all the time. :P

Quick reminder for the Monza race later:
If you cut the chicanes you will get a 5 second penalty every time you do it (there is a timing marker on the track).
Be careful on the last corner if you go too wide you will also get a penalty. The grass is too far lol.
And if you keep cutting on purpose (gaining an advantage irrespective of penalty) then Giorjoe will disqualify your sorry cheating ass (probably).
So far nobody has ever cheated here so congrats on being a divine community to be proud of. Lets keep it that way.

PS: there is 20bhp difference between the Wet Map and the Qual Map. Riders may want to monitor their fuel use-age with MaxHUD and make sure they know how to change ECU maps on track :)

Woop woop! for once strategy, smooth riding and setup might make the difference ;) Just as racing in the real life and since i seem to be fast on worn tyres, i am looking forward for this :P
OK here is some information to help people who maybe don't know or don't have much time to practice.
I did a full 21 lap simulation.
Started on ECU mode 'Race1' - after 10 laps MaxHUD computed I had 10 laps of fuel left (and I needed 11)
Switched to ECU mode 'Race 2' - after another 5 laps fuel consumption was stabilised but MaxHUD computed only 5 laps of fuel left (needed 6)
Switched to ECU mode 'Wet' - after another 4 laps fuel consumption had dropped where MaxHUD computed I had 3 laps of fuel left (need only 2 now)
Switched to ECU mode 'Race 1' for a final push.
Ran out of fuel 50 yards from the finish line but made it ;D
Other methods can be used to save fuel - lift early and coast in braking zones, use a drivetrain gearing with lower setting (less revs at high speed but slower accelerating) etc.
Attached is also a picture of my Hard Tyres (but I did have a few falls in the race)
Hope it helps. This will definitely not be a flag to flag sprint race it will be strategic. So even if you are slowest rider you have a good chance here. 8)
If you fall, remember you cannot respawn until clear of all riders - DO NOT GET IMPATIENT AND RAGE-QUIT PLEASE - everyone will fall I am sure and just getting to the end of the race might mean a win!
Oh and another thing - due to the lower power modes and hard tyres etc I was only averaging 1.57 lap times. The good news is I could do those times on all ECU modes (due to the falling weight of the fuel). 8)

I did have two off-track excursions that when I got back on track with gravel tyres they span a lot probably did not help but sides are still OK lol.
The front tyre wear is scary I don't know if t was caused by my falls or if I need to address my setup.

Is impossible finish the race con qually times, me with 1:57 (and in my second test) with 1:56 every laps i finish it but for very little :-\

It will be but what you are saying is to do 21 qualifying laps while racing - not so easy or realistic.
There is about 20bhp difference between these two ECU settings at 14500 rpm.
And yes you can change it on some bikes while riding ;-)

So my race report:
Superb Event
I got knocked off on first corner - very unhappy.
Recovered all the way to 3rd
Induced a wobble coming out of 1st chicane which got worse each lap and eventually chucked me off.
Had to wait for too long to respawn (respawn needs a little tweak to make it faster not wait for bikes ages away)
Fell a lot pushing too hard.
Ended.
I love this kind of race. I hate being knocked off by someone who quits >:(

Well beside my complaining, it was a really nice race! had a lot of fun, but since i think i got cheated for a lap, i had to take extra care of my fuel too.. Seemed a bit tight even earlier i had a bit of extra fuel in bike.. but we will see if it was just my computer fucking me up and i actually wasn't ahead at any moment or what.
(BTW, i think in replay one of my laps said "--.--.--", but that is what happens when playing online racing games :) sometimes shit happens if you lose connection for a sec or something, so well done Gio for the great pace!
Well anyways, really nice event! enjoyed the QP and the bike, seemed like i for once got along with the Mura and now i am getting closer to the topriders on the bigger bikes too :)

Bad race for me ... people going 4-5 seconds slower than me that would not let me go ... letting risk to pass, I was nervous but I have not done a rage-quit. I wanted to go to catch the firsts but so no fun.

Yep, lap 19 is gone for me, which means i got fooled for a lap and when i crossed finish line i got 5 sec penalty too for no reason, had a huge lag that lap and all of a sudden everything was messed up.. so i was first, it was not just my computer that was playing tricks with me..
i think meyer have reason, for me ok 2nd place no problem is a dream same
For me great race, after first lap i crash with bike, and after i drive in 1.55 / 57 for all race with never mistake. I think arrive first but i wait new export. thanks all for presence, thanks Nap for opportunity and thanks loopa, yan, davide and Others for not inscribe and give me a chance for go at podium :D

Haha well if you take a lap away and 5sec it fits pretty well with it, that it was Gio i could see keeping up just a bit behind me ;) but yeah, no matter what i had a great lap and i know that something weird at least happened, win or not :)
But the most important thing was, that i had a lot of fun! :P
for me it was a great race, I have recovered from the last to the first position, then I fell like a dickhead and i finish 2nd!!! I learned a lot in this race...

I can confirm Meyer was the first rider to lap me under blue flag, so he must've been in first place at that time. That was approx lap 16? ;)
Race report:
First time I've been riding for a while so I was well rusty plus I hate riding the default Marusama bike. :P :-X
But all in all I had a great time racing with you guys over the 21 laps and taking it easy for the first few laps till I could see from MaxHUD that my fuel would last the rest of the race at full throttle. Forgot to map a button to the ECU so I couldn't change my engine maps during the race. Lol ::);D

Had a great race no matter what the results and finally got the feeling with the Mura and i have now seen i actually can ride the bigger bikes quite well too :)

@Blackheart - that looks identical to the strange problem I started having out of the 1st chicane that eventually threw me off to (I think Finpower would have seen it each lap getting worse).
I am pretty sure it is the same a H106 has reported and been discussed a lot recently with the violent shaking at small lean angles.
To be cured in Beta 8 I am sure! ;)

At the chicanes you get a 5 second penalty if running wide - no matter if you slow down or anything. How else could it be done?
Penalties are applied at the end of that lap - IE - when you cross the start/finish line.

Yeah i didn't mean a bug like that, it is fair there is penalty when going out of track, just don't recal i did that beside when avoiding hawk haha :D His bike came flying past me lol! But there should be some timer that if you are slower than normal, then you wouldn't get a penalty, i know many other games have that :)

In the video you can clearly see that I already have the bike completely straight when it starts the movement of the front wheel, this is completely random.
Perhaps the Murasama its okay on other tracks but not here, my worst race ever >:(
P.S. The funny thing is that in all practice days I've never had this problem ... ???

If I remember correctly I was with TCS 3 and Antiwheelie to 2
you are right in that normally, the bikes usually don't get those wobbles when already at such a low lean angle (not even the standard mura). i'd say that aw and/or tc caused some additional disturbance, producing this behaviour.

+1 although i do use TC on some tracks i never ever use AW because it causes too many problems. much better to roll off the throttle slightly to keep things calm.
i would love to use a little bit of AW, too but sometimes TC acts as AW so you still have the same problems.
