I'm new in terms of GPB and my english is bad - maybe not a good prerequisite to GPB testing them, to understand, and be able to drive with good drivers together, but I'd like to see, maybe you prepared me freshman and give a little support.

To understand GPB, where i can find tracks, bikes and skins placed in the board-structure was a little connected with expenditure of time, but eventually I was able yesterday to enter the first public server and go out for a few laps.

The other drivers were all very laggie, the bikes were shown very poor and jumped on the track back and forth. Is that normal? For many years I drive simsport (Indycar from papyrus, GPL, ......., first and currently rFactor). After GP500 by Microprose no reasonable motorcycle simulation more came out until I have learned now know GPB - Congratulations, that tastes good again!

Once I was on the server yesterday, I changed the nickname and the start number in my profile. Today I would like to connect to the lobby and first get the message "Invalid login, please register"? In another experiment, only a "connecting" and then in short time  "connection timeout"? This issue I would like to urgently solve.

Where races are currently driven together, championships, etc., where i can be injected, ride, learn? I´m seeking the good guys: quick, well versed, quietly, reliably - is anybody out there ... :-)

One more question for controlling GPB:
I am already old :-), joystick would still go, however, trigger or joypad does not go with me, this am no longer capable of learning, did not think so, that to me again running a Bikesim on the way, it's worth driving to will. So I control GPB with my steering wheel (G25) and my pedals (VPP). The steering wheel I have limited to about 50° and the FFB regulated to 35%. In the middle, it is however very difficult to find a real sense, and the bike then often fluctuates greatly.

Who is PiBoSo? A lone programmer happy here the world with great works? A team? Where is PiBoSo home, from where comes the whole matter?

All-time good grip ...

To find bikes go here: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=2857.0 Download number 1. Then, download number 2. Unzip both of them (for example, with winrar). Then copy and paste number 2 into number 1.

Urban Chaos 2.0

Then Create a new folder called "Bikes" in the "/GP Bikes/gpbikes" directory.  Put the downloaded bikes into the new folder.

Make sure you get tracks that have NDS in the name as they are the ones you will need for the servers.

Some like the NC tracks dont say NDS but also work well.

If you would like to get on most of the online servers i would not suggest downloading mods individually. Instead you can download the BikeMOD which contains a set of up to date bikes. It is used by most of the servers to try o reduce data mismatches.

Tracks can be found here- http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=45.0

Paints here- http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=2625.0

And if you would like to see a complete list of servers, to see what tracks are being used if you dont want to download them all look here - http://stats.gp-bikes.com/servers.php

hi,

if you understand a little bit french you can have a look on my video about how to begin with gpbikes, i think images only can help you:
https://www.youtube.com/v/sNrIEL3pA-c

You can watch wich are the server online at this page:
http://stats.gp-bikes.com/servers.php

You can have some help on the french forum:
http://forum.motonline-france.com/

Piboso is...
He gives us 4 games => GPBikes; World Racing Series, MXBikes; Kart Racing Pro => all are in beta. KRP is near from the first v1.0
He comes from Italy.
He began alone years ago.
He tries to make simulation games as close as possible to reality. (all the different parameters, force, axys, rotation pieces force, inertia are with real value)
I think now he has a team (little).

There is problem with online since a long time. On the right of the "World page" (ingame), you can see the ping, if it's higher than 100 you will can join the session but FPS will be bad, bikes jumping, and so and so.

For your steeringwheel:
On the first setting page, where you calibrate and assign the different axys, you have a parameter called "Direct Lean" you must try what is the best for you. The difference between the two extrems is that:
one side => the bike move from left to right exactly as you turn the steeringwheel.
other side => the bike back to the vertical alone as you let the steeringwheel.

We suggest you to ride with the latest bikemod because the stability is better than the stock bikes:

Hi Remise and welcome to gpb mate.

Berlin? Are you German as there are a few from there on here. I speak it but cant write to save my life lol.

With the G25, try 40 degrees rotation it is what I ran my old G27 at. You can mod it to have handlebars too!!!

Hope to see you racing soon

Thanks to here for your efforts and assistance with images and links on various topics. Before I wrote my first posting here, I have read only a week here in the forum, and the important sites and informations stored. I even tried SyncBack which posted "Alibaskins" here (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1449.0).

As I said, I had everything functional, many hours of effort with downloads of various tracks, mods and skins. My installation quick had grown to more than 8 GB.

The paramount problem is that I have a "timeout" get as soon as I want to go online. Before I changed my profile, it has worked with all the installed stuff.

Kudos to all Members here who care and support this great simulation, it does a good help!

@Urban chaos
Now I had a look at your computer ;-) and in there I see a picture from a Mod "ZXR250" or "CBR250R", but I find this not in the download section. Where can I find this? Are there any other mods (classic-racebikes etc.)?

@Doubledragon
What exactly is the advantage of NDS tracks? As a precaution, the NDS tracks I have all loaded down.

@Matty
I use so far only things for GPB, I find here and assume that they were then tested by you and work. The Factory bikes I updated to 1.1.

Should I reinstall or create new my profile GPB now? I am a little perplexed.

And then there was the question: How do you control GPB? I guess I'm not the only one that uses a steering wheel and pedals to drive GPB. I noticed that when I go in the "wingman view" GPB responded better, much movable than in the cockpit view, but Wingman is nothing for real men - or? ;-)

doubledragoncc

NDS stands for "Non-Dynamic Track surface" it is the least realistic in that it has no update of surface grip due to riding on it like tyre rubber changing surface grip and other aspects. It is less likely to cause a core crash of the sim.

It is just as good to ride but less stress on GPB stability.

Napalm Nick

Your main problem of getting TIMEOUT when going online is not your problem.

The Master Server broke yesterday and is still not working so you can ignore that until it is fixed.

Beta 8 was only released a short time ago. The bikes from previous Beta releases need to be updated which is a long process. Patience for us all.  ;)
"The post you are writing has been written at least ten times already in the last 15ish years. Its already been reported, suggested, discussed, ignored or archived (but mostly ignored). Why are you doing it again?"

janaucarre

Hi,
If you created your profile and registered on the stats page with a specific name you must use this name ingame.
TIMEOUT happens sometimes when servers are down or when the ping is to high.

For the CBR250R, S80 bike(s), and NSF250 go here: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=2889.0
For the ZXR250R, go here: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=3078.0

If you play in third-person view ("wingman"), GP Bikes becomes very easy, and setting low lap-times ceases to be much of a challenge. But it loses realism/immersion. Personally, I recommend playing GP Bikes only in first person view. That's the point of a simulator. If you like third-person though, then by all means: you can play it that way.

matty0l215

The zx250 cbr250 and the s80 bikes are not currently part of the mod as they do not comply currently (we are currently waiting on Yohji to rename them.

They are not on the motonline or the gpboc servers.

The Moto gp bikes shpuld be 1.0 not 1.1 but manu has realesed an update before the new bike MOD.

The whole point of the BikeMOD was to reduce this sort of confusion but  as you can see it does not always work out so. :P    Offically the GP Bikes Owners Club (GBPOC for short) and the Motonline.fr servers use the BikeMOD so if you have the latest version you will get on their server.
