Looks nice! Just dont like the amount of custom parts they use in Lego nowadays. Back in the day all blocks were pretty generic and usable for building other things as well, didnt look as good but at least there was more room f9r creativity.

I absolutely agree with you on that iVo!  ;D

But then I guess LEGO has already figured out that they make more money by selling custom part kits compared to the old original LEGO.......

"The Truth is Out There". Lol  ;D

I had plenty of lego in the 80s (and still have it), but I have to disagree on the "there was more room for creativity".

There are forum with modders that come up with incredible ideas: for this specific model, in just a week, modders have fixed many issues related to the transmission (including the gears sequence, correct behaviour of the D-N-R selector, issues of transmission lock-up), better front suspensions scheme (close to a macpherson) and one is almost done with giving it an ackerman steering (instead of the basic parallel steering). All still fitting in the original model.

Have a look at lego ideas (https://ideas.lego.com/): creativity all around !

Also, this specific set has essentially no custom parts (except the rims and the tyres I think): all the parts that look custom to you (the bodywork, I guess) are in fact now standard parts, used in many other lego sets.

The price stinks a bit though :)

I thought my LEGO days were long gone.....  :o 8) ;D

Those custom parts can be used for whatever you want anyway, there is the creativity. I missed some of those different parts back in the 80's with technic lego.  :)

I still have (most of) the pieces and the instructions for this (and many other oldies):
