Thank you Yohji. Great work.
They maybe slow, but they are certainly GREAT FUN!! ;D
Thank you Yohji... Very nice work mate! 8) 8)
Hawk.
Yeah very slow, but great quality work! 8) ;)
we need a virtual mechanic or two, to tinker around and get a few more horses out of this baby.... ;D
great work with the bike! 8)
Might be better off just strapping a rocket to it :)
Love these :) makes for precision riding to get the best out of them.
Thank you very much
Great job Yohji! Thank you!
Another great learning bike. Love it that someone is trying to help beginers. For me it's great to practice 1st person view riding. Top quality textures.
For me personaly that big display is redundant and distracting, maybe something smaller? RPM number really isn't needed.
Great model and the onboard view is one of the best, love that you can see the tail when you look behind.
Also agree that the blue panel looks a bit odd, you could use the original and just add a typical aftermarket gear indicator.
Could do with an MC22 engine transplant though ;)
blue information panel is provisional. so I will replace it when make Completion the panel.
thanks for sharing! :)
Thank you very much!I enjoyed it a lot between the curbs of Tsukuba ;D
Great little bike we have there. Too bad it hits the limiter that quick in 6th, only flaw so far.
gear ratio is stock. you can setting F/R sprocket
Oh! Totally forgot about that. It's been a while since i have tinkered with the settings.. But yeah, it wouldn't move if it was to be set to go faster. ;D
Are the default specs the road bike's ?

Are the default specs the road bike's ?
yes almost stock spec, but little Eg stronger and little lighter weight, due to race EXpipe and racing cowl.
i've actually been enjoying this a lot, lack of grunt permitting, lol
only one little report, about something i noticed watching a replay - at some particular distance, the rider changes position - it's like an LOD problem, by the looks of it.
only really noticeable in a replay, as i said, so not super important - but would be nice if it could be addressed. :D
Very good job mate, riding this bike is very funny.
The onboard view is great and I hope you will do next great mods :)
For beta8 release
Check first post
Thanks Yohji! 8)
Fast work!
I really like this bike, slow as it maybe...... Thank you Yohji! ;D
Hawk.
Me too.
The thing about the smaller bikes is you have to work on your lines more, learn to carry corner speed, be smoother etc etc. All things that improve your performance on the bigger bikes too. And damn funny to race in a pack! :)

I absolutely agree with that NIck...... This is a great bike to learn how to ride the bigger bikes faster. ;)
Hawk.
CBR will more adjusting for beta8

Rename it from a .PKZ file to a .zip file, then you will be able to unzip it and install it as usual. I presume your using WinZip or WINRAR?
Hawk.

You could also just put the .pkz into your "bikes" folder. But for new paints you would still have to create a folder "NSF250R" and a folder "paints".
So I would extract it as well.
Not a very good idea Steven as it is not a good way to structure GPB and is no good for bike updates that require the unpacked bike in its own folder
GPB is fussy and it may also cause core crashes

renaming it worked,it was very simple thank you all for the help, and thank you to the modder great job :)
i have no excuse now for riding in 3rd person now, very very good

Yohji choose to name it .pkz so to me it looks like the file is not necessarily intended to be unpacked. And if Yohji makes an update he will just upload a new .pkz I think.
I can't say much about this being the reason for core.exe crashes or not, but I wouldn't carry this too far. For example after installing the game bikes, tracks and so on are in .pkz's and nobody's told to unpack them. So if there was a problem with the .pkz system it could concern all the .pkz's. Unless something can go "wrong" when packing the files and renaming the archive to .pkz.
Also some time ago I was told that unpacking (official) .pkz's might cause problems when going online, when the server uses the .pkz's only.
Still - as I said in my post - I would extract the .pkz as well - to have everything as folders, to be able to put paints in when necessary and because I usually have original tracks and bikes unpacked and I unpack whatever I'd like to have a look at.
Steve, your not listening buddy. Look at all the MODs in the past. It is nothing to do with the pkz point it is to do with how the rest of the modders work and not just Yohji. Just because it is a pkz, you think it is not meant to be unpacked, your the first dude. Its a compressed file and for it to work best in GPB for mods it should be unpacked. It is NOT an original GPB file so it is not handled by GPB like one!
Take a look at the Ducati from Manu and that is how it should be done, plain and simple. AND when he makes an update that is ONLY the few files needed it is best to simply extract first and then install the updated files.
I think after being in this community for 6 years I have seen enough to give you the right advise. And the best is dont screw with what has worked for years and still works now.

That's wrong ddcc. GPB will handle it as expected.
In fact, shipping a mod as a .pkz file is easier for the modder, the hoster (like the BikeMod) and the end-user, as you only have one file to move around (no chance to mess up the directory structure, having double nested directory, etc).
The only downside in using .pkz file is that at run-time, GPB will have to unpack them so load times will be a tad slower.
And maybe that you would still need a paint folder for the skins.
Yeah thats true for the first point Max and I understand that, but your second point is my reasoning for NOT recommending leaving it as a pkz. You still need a paints folder and that must be in the correct bike folder so you have to have that structure.
In the end it is the instability of GPB that must be thought of and any little point that upsets GPB or makes it run slower or work harder is adding to an already unstable program. I am just trying to point out that add all the little points like additional pkz files for GPB to work with might upset it, just like having to many paints in the 990 paint folder! Simple point but it is one additional point that causes crashes.

sorry. fixed, :'(
This is great. Thanks a lot, Yohji.
What the fok do i do with a pkz file
You put it in the bikes folder
Or you download the copy from the BikeMOD database
You can also inzip the pkz with winrar and put the unziped folder in the the regular bikes-folder.
Cheers,
/David "Gonzo" Boda #46
any chance of making this work with beta12?
Everything depends on Yohji. I think he will do it, but not sure when.
