We definitely need a 500 with better tyres.
The NSR is so ridiculously slow in corners even though it weighs less than the 600.
I know that even in 2002 the tyres were not that good but we could just call it call it 'Suter 500' and have at least Moto2 corner speeds.

The current NSR500 is only a Cagiva V594 with make-up ... so the tires are of 1994  :)

Jerez:

1'46.173 Moto3 Q 2014
1'43.118 WSS Q 2013
1'42.925 WSS GP Bikes
1'42.766 Moto2 Q 2014
~1'42.000 "RSA 250 GP" GP BIkes
1'38.120 MotoGP Q 2014

Not too fast?

it makes no sense compare with the real actual times, also the Murasama (a Motogp from 2003)  runs  in 1.25 to phillip island.... and the real record is 1.28.108 (and with a 2013 bike...)
however, in 2008 the 250 runs in 1:43 in Jerez  ;)

Sorry the chat came out weird. I remember Lorezno saying he didn't think that kind of lap time was possible outside playing on the Playstation. This was on the resurfaced Philip Island that was destroying tires. I think tires in GP Bikes in general have way to much grip. Since were are modeled after a 11 year old bike but hitting lap times faster easily then they do in reality.

Alby46

they hit 1.31 or something like that in 2003
Still riding a 50cc, but enjoying it :)

Daniel_F

well i feel a little stupid by only doing 1,41 with the gp bike and 1.42 with 250 (with lots and lots to improve ) on jerez xD i actualy would like to see the 500s with nice tyres aswell like a modern version of the 2 strokes like this 250 :P

Alby46

1.42 at jerez is a monster time, i was talking about phillip island times

Daniel_F

my mistake not 1.42.  1.43

Yes and we could justify corner speeds higher than those of current Moto2 bikes by making the Suter 500.
.....Ooooor, just edit the current 500 physics file a little bit to allow for higher leaning angles, which would be more than fine with me :D
