Thank you matty,

that's what i need.  :)

I have a strange wish:
For a newbee it's not easy to learn such things like drifting/braking in corners, etc. If I'm trying that I'm crashing because I'm outside the track in the dirt.
For learning it would be great to have a simple practice field (lets say 2km*2km) like an airport.
I think it should be must faster to create than a typical track.

Helmets / Re: Helmet Installation Guide
February 12, 2018, 05:16:17 PM
After trying it two weeks I must say it's not possible to install and choice helmet paintings.
I created this structure:
QuoteC:\Program Files (x86)\GP Bikes\gpbikes\rider\helmets\Shoei X-Spirit I\paints
and put in the paints Folder some pnt files like "Alex Marquez #73 2017.pnt" I can't choice a helmet or helmet paint.
If I added the following:
QuoteC:\Program Files (x86)\GP Bikes\gpbikes\rider\helmets\default\paints
and put some pnt files in it I can choice default helmet and some helmet paintings, but nothing happens, I see only the standard painting.  :-[

What is wrong?

I have an equal problem with my Logitech MOMO force feedbeek wheel on my new Windows10 64Bit PC.
After every restart of windows the wheel reacts crazy. If I use the brake or throttle the wheel steers at the same moment.
I found out: If I disconnect and reconnect the USB plug the wheel works correct again. I hope it works for you too, Hubcap.
Unfortunately in my case it's not the 100% solution, because if I try to open my Logitech options I get a failure message. But I'm glad that in GPBikes is no need to change someone in the Logitech options.
If someone know a solution for this problem I would be appreciate for every hint.

I have two questions:

1. I have seen there is a new version 1.2 of the MOTO2_17 MOD. Will we use this new version for the Championship or the older one? I'm unsure with which version I should practise.

2. A technical question: Is it impossible to use version 1.1 if the server uses version 1.2?

General Discussion / Re: How Realistic Should SIMs Be...
February 06, 2018, 03:58:25 PM
QuoteNow I have always advocated for a hardcore event server "OPTION" so that when set it will mean that if a rider crashes then they are out of the race.....
I voted not for hardcore Option. I'm a fan of a not more 100% working bike (maybe less power of the engine: i.e. the engine loose 1% power or a missing gear or some else)for the rest of the race.
An other thing is: I'm not really satisfied with ShiftR procedere. In some cases the rider have to wait a very long time, in other cases the restart is too fast. As I said some years before. My favourite would be the crshed Driver stand up and run beside the track to the bike. If the bike is not on the track he have to bring back the bike to track by itself (no beaming to track). If the bike is on the track he have to wait for a gap in Drivers field like before. Then he have to bring the bike in the right direction without beaming.

Moto2 Championship 2018 / Re: [POLL] Riders on track
February 02, 2018, 04:35:52 PM
QuoteOne potential problem springs to mind for combined times.  If someone gets lapped they don't run the last lap so there is no overall race time for them.
(I say them but mean us.    I get lapped a lot  )
I'll be a very often laped rider too.  ???
I was running for some years in a F1Legends league. In this league they added for every missing lap the averagage laptime of the driver.

Could it be that crashed bikes and riders at the track have no consequences? It means the following drivers could ignore crashed bikes and riders?
I'm unsure if I have to react or not.

Thank you, in this way it works.  :)

I.e. yesterday I was driven Online with 30 drivers. My replay was less than 4 minutes long.
As I said Joses solution doesn't work for me. If I wrote

Quote[CORE]
replay  = 512
in my gpbikes.ini the core.exe crashes when I load a track.

That's my not working gpbikes.ini:
Quote
[CORE]
replay = 512

[GFX_DEFAULT]
x=0
y=0
bpp=32
fullscreen=1
refresh=0

[SOUND]
driver=0                                                    ; 0 = default
max_sounds=32
efx=1

Quote[CORE]
replay  = 512

If I write this in gpbikes.ini core.exe crashes.
Have I put it in a special place in gpbikes.ini? The beginning/the end od it doesn't work anymore?

Moto2 Championship 2018 / Re: [POLL] Riders on track
January 31, 2018, 03:13:03 PM
In case of option 2 I see a possible problem.
For many years I was driving in a "four wheel" league. I have seen after a few races the field of participants was much smaler, especially the lower drivers gave up. I'm afraid after three races or so will be to less drivers in Am Cup or maybe in Pro Cup too. Then is will be unpossible to combine the rest of the drivers.

I think option 1 is much saver, maybe with near by continuous points: Let's say i.e.: The winner of grid 2 gets the same amout of points like the second to the last in grid1, the vize-winner in grid2 gets one point less than the last in grid1, and then one point less ever.

QuoteAs probably you know GP Bikes is simulation, and just like in real life it is impossible to fully brake in lean.
That's what I like and miss in other simulations/games.  :)
I think my problem 2 has nothing to do with problem 1 because in testing I have stable 80 fps and I produce the same crashes. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm to often in the dirt, grass, etc.

QuoteThe FPS you're getting is probably about correct with that system, if you want to properly get into any racing games I think you're going to need to upgrade.
It's a pity. I have seen the minimal requestment for GPB is lower than other racing simulations (rFactor2/Assetto Corsa). So I hoped it will be work.
But after my all in all sensationell impressions of GPB it seems I should buy a new PC.

BR Olaf

P.S.: Are the suspentions fuel simulated? Have the values of i.e. Bump/Rebound take effect in GPB13?

Hello,

yesterday I have tried for the first time GPB Online. I tried to run at the Moto2 server, 'cause I planed to paticipate at Gzehoos championship. But I see at the moment it makes no sense for me.
My two biggest problems:

1. In practise/qualy I had a useful fps rate. In race my fps rate changed between only 20 and 35 fps (not only at the start, later with no bikes in my near also). It was hard for the eyes. ::)
My PC: i2 2,66GHz + nVidea GeForce GS9500.
Is the low fps rate normal at this system, or is there any problem in GPB.
What can I do to increase fps? Deinstall MaxHUD?

2. I couldn't brake into corners after a long straight. I had to stop braking and wait 0.3s before I can turn in the corner. If I do it earlier than 0.3 after totally looking the brake, I crashed. Naturally so I'm 15s or so slower than the fastest drivers.
I saw if the brake zone is short (i.e. in the left/right passage two/three corners after the long straight) nothing happens, in every case I can lean soon as I stopped braking.
Whats the reason? Heating up the tyres after a longer brake, so it had no grip for a moment?
I used Wheeling help, but no Traction help or Brake help. Is Brake Help an option? Do other drivers - i.e. you 8) - use it?

I would be happy about every help.
