Yeah for sure thats true.

But upgrading to Unreal engine is not gonna happen, how on earth would Piboso do that (its a 1 man's band right ?)
Its probably more easy to update his own engine a bit.  ;)

And then again a bike racing (simulator) with no AI ? is IMO not a bestseller aswell.

If this game back in the early days was realeased with competitive AI's which Piboso has talent enough for.

I dunno i would have bought it for sure.. personaly i dont have time to go through all this hassle to get a online game going on...
and once your connected there is lag, disconnections,  people crashing into you pfff enough of that.

Ok my 2 (maybe 3) cents here.
I know i am not a wel known (accepted) member on this forum but thats ok to me.

1.
I read a lot of stuff (info) about Piboso should use Ureal engine... i reckon thats NOT gonna happen.
He has coded his own engine from the ground up he is never gonna move to Unreal engine.. i understand that if i was him.. well i am with Piboso.  (that means no money income for a long time).

2.
GPBikes started developing, and this is my guess in 2002/2003 because if i remember right in first demo's bike models were from the 2004 season ? (maybe i am wrong)
So its showing its age for sure.. Is it important ? yes and no something needs to happen IMO but for me it can wait a bit more...

To make sure this game will be a successor .. yes its time time to upgrade when Piboso has some spare time on his hands.

I could live with some outdated graphics if the game had great AI's
Because the game allready has (decent) Physics, it's modable, if i remember rigth there is online and LAN play (which seems to be outdated but it should be in every game).

I used to create mods for MotoGP 2 ( i released several longgg time ago) and to be able to create a complete MotoGP or SBK mod with a full starting grid (AI's
which you are able to play Online and Offline is something which should be available for a game like this.

BTW.
That does not mean i am gonna make mods again in near future (gettingolder and not much spare time)

Hello All,

Not posting much on here... for me personal the main reason i have never bought it (played only a few demo's in the early days).
Is that there is no AI !... without AI's and as i read on forum with a lot of online connecting problems, there is not much left.

And although i have a lot of respect for Piboso for building everything up from the ground (on his own ??) it probably takes to long to get it finished.

Dont get me wrong it is not somthing I worry about, but for this game to become a succes.... i dunno :(

Thx, my setting are a little different but for sharpening i am using the ingame settings => [/Script/Engine.RendererSettings]
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=2
this works great aswell

But i see you are using LUT (LUT.fx)... you need to create your own texture .png for it if i am not mistaken ?
Did you do this ? and is the result worth it ?

Looks great to me.
Although the game itself already looks good, yours looks even better.

I am using the latest Reshade, i did have a quick go myself but my improvements were not that great yet.

Probably after 2 or 3 laps he will show them the yamaha is not so bad after all ... ;)

Ok pff....... i never thought i was gonna join this conversation.

1st
i dod not download the vids from Mega never seen anything... so i am spilling something which might have nothing to do with this.

2.
Motogp 17 from milestone out of the box (which is been critisized over here) is 100 % kids game.
But if I am able with my poor computer/poor spare time... poor everything, to mod this game into another version.
Dont you think MILESTONE employers are not able to do what i am able to do.....  i don't think so.

It is what MILESTONE/DORNA (or whatever all the names are) wants to sell.
Which seems to be MotoGP 17 out of the box (which is euhmm....  :-\ not very good).

Strange thing is MotoGP 17 has lots of parameters inside (even more then older games) to be able for creating more (even decent) realism (IMO) but they never used it.  :-\

Another thing GPB does not have AI  :-\ .... euhemm i stop here.

Just realised something you said too:  The mod is for your bike not the AI, I do not know of any mods for the AI this mod makes your bike more realistic to ride....you should try it you might like it.

I am trying to edit *player* Physics and the AI.
So i can enjoy some nice offline races... and yes modding the AI gives some very nice results.

Infact as bad as the game is out of the box IMHO.

MotoGP 17 has a lot of params to play with and its also possible to add some extra params to the files.
With the files i tried the params got accepted... good for modding.

No i am aware of it.
It is not easy in fact i think it is realy, realy hard to do. (specialy with all the tracks created by the modders)

Very usefull yes.
Only 5 or 6 AI would be enough for me.... fight for the podium ??

On the other hand.
my guess is this game started developping somewhere in 2002 ??
If Piboso would have ever have *AI bikes* in his mind it would have been here right now...

GPBikes is ok the way it is right now.
Just not for me, but thats no problem.

Great AI .. NO

Playable yes.

In Motogp 16 i could make them nearly unbeatable.
But i also made they try to avoid in some sort of (poor) way.

but thats about it.

But Offline there is also an option to *rewind* so if you got hit.. rewind !!!
But once you know the lines it is pretty good. (to me)

Yeah but still its hard to crash when you pusch front brake as hard as possible.

After editing.... you will crash a little more easy  ;).

Finaly played a bit of it.

first thoughts were not that good.
tried to edit it... and after a longgggg (zzzzzzz  >:() time of digging through the files (and scrathing my head many times) i finaly found something i was looking for  ::)

So instead of removing it (which i was about to do)... i will keep it on my HDD.

P.S
If there was an option for editable AI in GPBikes .........  ;)

This is also a question to Piboso, (if you do read this) i know you told me years ago.... but this is still not an option for GPBikes ?? to have some (smart) AI ??

Thats the Main and only reason i dont play GPBikes.
I just dont like to sit and wait for a online game....

With AI i can play Whatever/Whenever i want.

Ahh yeah there is always (till now) the option to edit these kinda games (you should know this... like old days  :P)

After editing till now most of milestone games did come alive.... at least for me  ;)
