It is a very different track - typical of an old airfield track though. At first I thought I would not like it until I started to find the Apex's and found the sweeping lines now I find it quite a nice challenge!  I take all the racing experiences I can get, if I think fun could be had  ;D

I was trying to make a rubber groove for this track (to lessen its virgin looks a bit) when I discovered that the rubber is applied to the track no-where relevant to where the tyres form the racing line. It seems totally random spreading rubber through barriers, doing odd shapes with 90^o corners and other weird things I have not seen before!

What can cause that then?

By the look of it in TrackED, the author has modelled all the concrete surface sections of the track surface in one object name (TRKASPH_01) instead of modelling the track surface in one object and then the surrounding concrete in another object and name(TRKASPH_02). Therefore it is trying to take into account all the concrete surface sections as the track surface instead of just the track surface layout; I'm not sure, but I think this is what is happening.  ;)

At a guess, I would say that it is a conversion from another game..... and the integration process for that game allowed the original author get away with this that type of modelling were GPB doesn't.

Would need the track source files to be sure of what is happening for real, but we have not got them.  :(

PS: This is also probably why the Dynamic Track surface on this track is struggling to maintain it's track layout shape too(some weird shaping in places).

I see thanks. Interesting stuff! Can't wait to see how this Dynamic track is with the cores. Maybe there won't be any and it will show the core cure!

Just been on the server with Yan and im getting Huge FPS issues, the same issues as at Masino (when near another rider, fps shits itself...) :-\

That's very odd. I don't have a problem there when I was with Yan.  Did you/have u ever changed your config /ini to adjust your graphics settings at all per chance?

@ Nick: It would be interesting how the racing line rubber build-up appears when it's created by the bikes themselves: Whether it builds up correctly of starts building up in weird shapes?

Didn't you have an issue with the replay buffer or somthing. thats the only thing i can think that i've changed...

Not as far as I remember.  I do remember Black heart had a similar problem but had upped his gfx in his profile ini or somewhere.
I had a similar problem at Hengelo that JJS fixed with a distant texture change/file size change,  maybe u need to put some more coal in it. :P

I've got a team paint skin for the Yamaha YZR SSP600 and most of the MotoGP bikes but we are not allowed to use the YZR SSP bike in the above races, so....  ::)

I loaded in the paint UV map for the GP250 the other night and they just did my head in trying to work with them so I binned them. To be honest I could paint them, but I'm just tired of working with crappy UV maps right now.... I've done SO much UV mapping over the last few months that I'm sick of the sight of them. Lol  :P

It would help a lot if the bike authors released proper .psd layered paint kits for their bikes.  :P

Anyone got a .psd layer version for the GP250?  ;D

Yes, as is the same for most bikes and helmets....  I've asked for authors on the forum before to release proper paint kits for their bike releases but no joy.

Doesn't look good for a quick fix either  >:(    :(  especially as its all over social media in the whole county.  Maybe the whole country! Eeeek the end is nigh.

Yes mate that is the counter for the start of Race 2 (Moto3) on Sunday  :)

Events usually follow this program:

21:00 CET - Official Practice begins
21:15 CET - Qualifying
21:30 CET - Race starts

But all time are approximate depending on the event or how the event is progressing.

A great race for me with a slim chance of winning thrown away yet again by my inconsistency! Fell off twice from the lead!  OHHHHHH mummy.

Never mind I enjoyed it, shame about the inevitable DS cores and those that quit.

Roll on Sunday for a slightly slower race and a slightly faster one.

For the first 10 laps (approximately) I enjoyed was 1th started, after 2th, and I did not make many mistakes ... and then the front tire must to have ended and I could no longer do the corners :(

P.S. To be a circuit that I hate, I enjoyed it very much (the first half of the race) :)

Yan. I honestly cannot understand why your banning the use of the YZR R6 Yamaha for the SSP event?

If we are going to start banning the use of the best bikes just because everyone wants to use it, isn't that bad in itself?
I mean what's the point of bike authors creating great bikes if event organisers are going to ban their use in events just because it's a great bike to ride?? Riders will always choose the best bike.... Your shouldn't try and stop that in my opinion.  :)

I'm just pointing out what could become an issue not only for riders, but more importantly for bike authors if this becomes a regular decision in events. Bike authors create the bikes so that riders can use them, not for them to be banned from events just because they are a most popular choice.  :)

I think the word "Banned" is perhaps too strong. I mean its one event, not the future of racing this class! From what he asked me for the race brief was just to use the others for a change including for him. 

He knows the same as us (as proven over and over) that if any event is SSP600 then everyone chooses the R6 or ZXR. We might as well delete the other bikes completely. Then where will the authors motivation be?  Personally I don't understand why people don't like to try different bikes - is winning really that important??? Anyway like all good forums that's just my opinion on it, I understand and respect yours, but I think its a good choice for just a change.  :)

Maybe I am biased because I know what the next event is already.....the R6 and ZXR will be facing off!  :o

But... Davide74 still holds the lap record at jerez on the CBR600RR  ;)  ;) ;D

If the other bikes would pass scrutineering then I'm sure riders would happily choose different bikes every time.

In my opinion, if your going to start excluding bikes in events, then it would be better to "exclude" the bad unstable bikes to encourage bike authors to fully test and finish their bikes before they release them, or at least update them when required. After all, we hardly ever use any of the well known unstable tracks, right?  ;)

Don't get me wrong... It's totally up to the organisers of events to decide what they want to do, but I just feel that if this is going to be a regular habit(like two events in a row now. Lol) then this needs a good debate.  ;)

Lol, its not really 2 events in a row now is it. That next event can be billed as a SSP event and it will still be a ZX/R6 face off.  But anyway two different people have chosen those events for what reason I don't really know, but I would like to think it is Variety, or maybe to level the field a bit, bring a bit of mystery to the result, give us duffers a chance, whatever, but personally I'm all for it. I don't eat a roast every Sunday either. Call me a rebel.

Actually I think all that category are pretty even (one electrical assisted one aside) and the authors have done a great job individualizing them so they have their own character. I suspect each has a different advantage at different tracks too the same as IRL. Superb job.

I guess if people have to keep using the same bike in every 'fun' event because its the 'best' then I'm preaching to brick walls anyway best to just let people get on with it if it makes them happy (all be it soulless  :D), no-one is being forced to take part.

I chose Yama and Kawa for my next event, to create a race perfectly balanced, affordable for everyone, the variety is pretty obvious, but I think that a race between these two bikes on a track that we all know perfectly is very nice : p

The yan event allows you to use bikes that most of us never use, mine instead is a fun race designed possible to see less falls and beautiful fights :)

Hi everybody,
I wanted to do this race with this circuit and its motorcycles to change for once. One always runs on the same channels and the same motorcycle has them a little change does not hurt,personally it's not my favorite track and I always ride with the ZX6R but Edmonton has no bumps and it can run smoothly.

A lot of sorry to everyone for my #93 riding style in 600ssp race. Its just cant brake harder :-[

Had to get out of the SSP race unfortunately - same old overheating tyre problem after fall. I fell twice very quickly and the rubber all melted off leaving only some old wire mesh  :P

I had two good races tonight, only marred by the SSP bikes having too much engine breaking for my liking and the tyre overheat problems after a crash. Who in Gods named allowed 4 strokes into motorcycle racing?!! Hehe :P ;D

Edmonton is a deceptively difficult track in that the harder you try the more time you waste.... It seems the slower or easier you ride the track(within reason of course Lol) the faster you go.  :-\ :o

Anyway I enjoyed it and gained a very rare podium position(3rd place) in the second SSP race.  ;D 8)

Thanks to Yan for the event and everyone who took part, and Nick for being a great host.... I had FUN!  ;D

I apologize with you guys for being angry, but I was quite fast and consistent with both categories especially with Moto3, and not participate even though I was still inside the server, it was not funny  :-\

For next event, seen it "my event" I would like that if we are 10 on the server, can participate in all 10, at the cost of spending a few more minutes or having to start randomly.  :P

this game need fixin right to way. fastlapping is ok but racing noooo way this is 2015 so piboso wake up and finish the product!i dont have words anymore why this game is grinding?maybe i try racing on year 2017

@Blackheart - next event is all yours Blackie, and the beauty is, it is on an NDS track woohoo!. You are in charge and can restart as much as you like hehe. Anyway I feel your frustration so no need to apologise.

Whilst the game is still buggy, I'm still getting more Enjoyment from it than Frustration and the work that has already been completed for B7 is still very good even if not targeting the critical path. Not sure I will feel that  way in 5 years like some of you guys though!

While E>F then I=Stay
When F>E then I = F Off somewhere else.

At the moment track selection plays a huge roll in the stability in game. A bad track equals a lot of problems  and i dont think edmound is a very stable track.

We've had races in the past go on without a hitch and have been very enjoyable so the possibilty is there. Its about find the right bikes and track.

Sorry I never joined the races guys, was at donington park yesterday watching me pal race.. Knackered so had early night instead  ::)
