(In order for it to work it must be a child object of chassis)

Select everything except the needle and group it as chassis_c

name the needle "rpm_needle"

this object must be a child to the chassis_c group. To do this there is a button top left looks kinda like a paper clip (child/parent button), select it then click and drag the needle to any part of the group (this will make the rpm_needle a sub-object child to the chassis_c)

Press "h" to check the object hierarchy to make sure it is done correctly.

Should look like when press H:

chassis_c
----------rpm_needle

done, thats it.... just make sure the needle is rotating on the right axis in 3ds max, to check select it and rotate it, if it rotates on the incorrect axis select "local" as the movement adjuster  (will likely be on view as default) and if still turns off-center then adjust the pivot (Google it).

Feel free to add me on Skype If you cant do it.

Good luck!
