Title: Brakes thermals
Post by: HornetMaX on September 10, 2014, 09:31:22 PM
@Piboso: brakes thermal dynamic seems to be included in GPB (at least judging from the params in the bike's .cfg file, disc0/1).

I was wondering if steel and carbon discs should have each their own specific heat capacity: at the moment the only difference I see between the steel disc and the carbon one on the 990 (for example) is the mass (carbon being half the weight of steel).

Brake discs' temperature is not simulated at the moment.

Oh OK, this explains that I guess.

Would probably be very interesting to have it and, first sight, not too difficult to add.

but if i'm not wrong, if i brake a lot , even blocking the brake, during the warm up lap, brakes feel like they're warmed

That is probably due to the tyres warming up.
