Title: help a newbie
Post by: 13Rdoble on February 02, 2015, 06:14:53 AM
Hello everyone, I'm new around here, install the game a week ago and am very happy with what provides this great simulator. I have learned to add motorbikes and increase the repertoire of my garage, but I have difficulty adding circuits and create my own designs for motorcycles, helmets and suits.

The question I have is the design files ... I appear as PNT, and that lase file does not recognize the photoshop, so I can not edit them. use some program or converter ?? Any recommendation ??

And the circuits that I downloaded ... it is called the folder where you have to put, the game seems it only recognizes certain names ... may be tracks?

thanks to attention, I hope to see you soon on track  ;) ;)

Same as you do a bikes file, create in the same folder a tracks file. and drop there your tracks.
You can uncompress pnt files with a program from piboso. It is on de same page you download the game. I thinks it is called PaintEd

Hi 13Rdoble, welcome to GPB forum. Download PaintEd 1.3 from the link below

http://www.gp-bikes.com/?page=downloads (http://www.gp-bikes.com/?page=downloads)

Put the file directly on your C drive so it will be C:\painted.exe and create a shortcut on your desktop. This is the file that opens the pnt files of bikes, suits and helmets so that you can work on the tga files and then repack them into pnt files for use in GP Bikes.

To keep things simple and work faster, Make a folder to keep all your paint files together, call it something like GPBikes Paints.

There is a tutorial on painting here on the forum, but I have to go look for it for you so wanted to leave this with you first. I will post the tutorial link asap.

Here is HornetMax's tutorial on GPB basics with everything about GPB

Okay found matty's tutorial

It is important that you name your files correctly. Here is the thread from Klax to explain a bit.

http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1974.0 (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=1974.0)

The one thing to be careful of is that the file name is not to long, this causes conflict with other paints in GPB. Keep the name simple but clear like "13RdobleRCV2015.pnt" this has your name, the bike its for(most important) and year if you want.

Just make sure the file name has the right bike name in it to make it easy for everyone to install to the right bike for online racing.

Hope this helps m8, have fun and just ask if you need more help
