The Crytek engine is free for non-commercial use too : http://www.cryengine.com/features (http://www.cryengine.com/features)

Which is best? To be honest I'm not sure, but this one is a great graphics engine depending on what you want to do with it.

Cry engine 3 was brilliant, both free, such a hard choice lol

I REALLY want a 4K lifelike world to ride in on woteva bike I want where eva!!!!

Not much to ask for is it

Maybe we should start something together, there are so many talented guys on here and naturally Miss grT.

I'm pretty sure both the above graphics engines are purely designed to work best with game levels, and not particularly suited for full blown sandbox worlds of the likes of Arma III for instance.

Full blown virtual 3D, do anything go anywhere, type of worlds require an engine the likes of this: http://arma3.com/features/engine (http://arma3.com/features/engine). And for this type of engine you'd have to pay BIG money. Lol
