Dedicated ServerHello everyone,
some guys asked me how to setup a dedicated server in GPBikes.
So here is a little manual how-to in Beta6c:
- GP Bikes Germany » Gp Bikes » FAQs & Anleitungen » How-to: Dedicated Server (http://forum.gp-bikes.de/index.php?topic=5.0)
Really good tutorial JJ!! Well done mate! ;D 8)
This should be made sticky. ;)
Hawk.
thank you hawk.
it would be nice if we add a list for the commands that you can type into the servercommandline.

In the dedicated server text input, it is possible to type:
"restart" to reset the server
"update whitelist" to update the whitelist
"update blacklist" to update the blacklist

A server admin can also use the chat to execute commands.
To ban a client, type !eject followed by client's name ( or #race number).
To disqualify a driver during a race, type !black followed by driver's name ( or #race number).
so we have:
Server commandline:
- restart - to reset the server.
- update whitelist - to update the whitelist.
- update blacklist - to update the blacklist.
- server message - type for e.g. "Hello eveyone" in the commandline and the server will give out: "!Hello Everyone" in red letters and a exclamation mark in front of it.
Client connected as admin, to write in chat:
- !eject - To ban a client, type !eject followed by client's name ( or #race number) "!eject #28" | !eject JJS209.
- !black - To disqualify a driver during a race, type !black followed by driver's name ( or #race number) "!black #28" | !black JJS209.
anything known not on the list?
Thanks JJ, Dibu, Peter, Ali, Arvoss, Piboso and everyone else I missed for the server topics and threads in this forum.
Got back today after a 10 day trip, found my server hard drive fried. Spent all day reloading software on a new one and I can say setting the GpBikes server up again was a lot quicker thanks to all this info. Just getting the Bikes and Tracks again and we are rockin'
Bravo to y'all 8) ;) :-*
