Hi guys ;D
Here it is full of skilled people to photoshop, im going crazy to create the base color of this bike:
You could help try to get a result as close as possible?
My problem is recreating this strange "
green dark sea", for the metallic effect i have already thought about how to create it, but without the base is pretty useless :'(
Try
Colour: #4e8f93
Add:
Grain Texture Intensity 16, Contrast 45 regular
You will need to adjust Intensity and Contrast dependant upon your scale to give it metallic effect.
See what you think m8 ;D
I tried, the problem is always the color does not match >:(

doesn't look like you have the grain metallic in that?
Hmmm I try something else too hang on
Have you tried colour-picking the colour you want from the actual photo itself? Just be mindful that from a real photo the colour you want will vary greatly depending on were you position your colour-picker, so you may want to try this several times from different locations to get the correct shade you want. This should give you your base green type colour your looking for.
Hawk.
I tried several times, but the result is always too light blue ???
I want to throw the laptop out the window ;D
Tricky innit
my best go so far maybe not blue enough

Its do-able if you don't crack it I will have another go before Sunday if you want me too but now I must grab some practice :)
Have you tried using exposure to tone down the lightness? Might give you the shade you want? Worth a try. ;)

Green is 3c8d8e
Yellow is f0ec4d
These are the excact colors of the original picture.
The green looks spot on, the yellow could be a bit brighter imo, so you`ll have to choose something that suits your taste.
Jamoz i love u!!!
After i try ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Surely I lose a step, if I put that color I get this, is no different?

Have you checked your opacity and fill settings? Just thinking you may have left opacity or fill at 70 or 80%?
Just a thought. ;)

I checked both have 100, maybe i have some strange settings on PS? (with the colors i suck ;D )
Looks fine to me?
Maybe the difference is that on my bike i used a shadow layer on top to give everything a bit more depth...

You say the same? I'm really blind? xD
EDIT: yes It must be to, I test now ;D
It looks almost exactly the same as the original color on the picture. Is your monitor calibrated correctly? :P
Try increasing the brightness to 25 and the contrast to 35 on your layer, see the difference?

Brightness +25 and the contrast +35 on my layer ::) and no difference with your picture ;D
(http://i58.tinypic.com/2mzi4b4.png)
Creating a copy of the layer and placing it in multiply, the result seems identical to yours, you say? (Maybe just a little darker)
Multiplying a layer will only make it darker, why do that?
Other than that i`d say they look pretty similar. Have you tried the brightness & contrast adjustment?
Because if I do not, the shadows are too light, (template problem) i adjusted a little with the contrast and brightness, for the moment are here:
P.S. beautiful wheels eh? ;D

Thx Nick and Matty ;) The base color (not yet final) I changed it because the real bike is the grayish, as you can see from this photo:
