Maybe some old plugins? Try disable all and restart the browser.
done all that type of logical stuff but is far worse than just firefox
thanks for saying though bro
Well this has been fun
Tried everything................Headbutting Laptop = No change
Hanging laptop by its lid out the window = No change
Threatening it with an even bigger hammer = No Change
Threatening to put Mario Cart on it = FIXED.....................not really
I uninstalled Firefox and its services, deleted the folder left behind, ran CCleaner to clean the registry and rebooted. Did a fresh install and................................ERM it installed firefox with me still logged into yahoo mail, all my bookmarks etc???
I did not get the normal blank firefox start page, tried 3 times to remove the fooker!!!
Well now I find a lil thing called *Werfault" hammering my internet and having a frickin party. So.....................
Used "RUN" to start "services.msc" and then looked for "WindowsErrorReportingServices" opened its properties and change its start up to disabled, rebooted and thing run better.
Firefox is using 300plus MB but, on the server PC that has the older Public win10 updated 2 days ago there are TWO figures for memory usage in Task Manager and they TOTAL 300+ MB which is normal for just starting firefox, the laptop has the newer win10 as I am a test piggy and it shows only ONE figure for the memory. Now it is settled to 260MB while typing this.
It would seem the lil Werfault was an issue.
I will keep an eye on performance and let you know.
Hope this may be helpful if anyone else gets memory and internet high use for no reason they can see

This is why I left Windows 10 bro. It's fucking garbage. And Nvidia's fucking drivers have been breaking since Windows 10.
As the old saying goes.... "If it isn't broke and it does the job then why change it?" ;D
I've been thinking about Win 10 since it came out, but experience tells me to leave it for at least 3 years before seriously thinking about swapping over; gives them time to seriously sort out the bugs. ;)
Hawk.
Hi guys
I do understand what you say, but for the future DX12 will become the norm and that means you HAVE to have Win10.
In testing on the server system where I have the GTX1050Ti Mini DX12 is the dogs bollocks as far as graphical performance goes and it looks the tits lol.
RUnnig a wee Q8300 CPU and only 8GB RAM it is amazing the FPS I can get and it runs Forza Apex and Horizon 3 DX12 at very playable FPS which I cant even run on my i7 system!!! It is not that I want FOrza it is I want the future of gaming and I have to keep up with it.
PLUS you have to have Win10 to run the new Kaby Lake CPU's and I want to use one on the new Z270 chipset mobo's
Soooooooooooooo I HAVE to get to grips with Win10 and will do, but it is fucking frustrating with some of the Insider Preview builds I get lol
My head hurts from headbutting the wall!!!!
I will keep reporting on any GOOD news for those it may help.

Looks like im not getting a new I5 then :P
6600k it is then
The 6600K holds its own matty. Good CPU and overclocking is great. Spend money on a good mobo(ASUS ROG Z170) and quality memory and graphics card is all you need bro

Yeh, It would have been nice to have all the nice things the new Chipset would have brought.
If only windows 10 wasn't so... shit.
Yes, I know it's not that bad. But I'm just very happy with 7 At the moment and until there is a real reason (windows 7 security issue or similar) I wont be moving :P
I'm waiting for Ryzen anyway, see if it's worth staying with AMD.
With some tweaking w10 was a way better experience for me than w7.

Go on...
I actually love win10 (yes I am a sick puppy) it has better memory management (when it is not fucked up it a test build)
The UI is better too and there are many little snick snaks that are handy.
It is also going to be the OS of the future wether we like it or not. Hardware is made to work ONLY with in10 and there are some awesome geeky bits of shit coming lol
The server system I am setting up now runs the normal win10 and has NO problems and is sweet as an angels tit. It kinda pisses me off as it cost £277 to build this system and have a spare mobo, CPU, PSU and memory as well. My G75 i7 cost around £1700 and aint as quick as the cheapo system, okay it is better for certain programs needing the CPU but the lil 8 year old Q8300 holds its own on the ASUS mobo with only 15% OC, it has a standard cooler so wont be really OC'ed until I fit the H45 water cooler, thats only £50 or so and can be used on new Kaby's too
All in all, win10 is great, IF, it is running right and tweaked a bit.
