Title: How to convert Assetto Corsa track to GP Bikes???
Post by: IronHorse on August 26, 2018, 06:35:03 AM
I have permission from the Author of a track to convert it to GP Bikes, but I am clueless.

What is the simplest way to convert the track? Im not very tech savvy and cant afford anything like RTB right now lol.

Assetto Corsa uses .kn5 files to store the track data.

You need to extract that with a program like 3dSimED (they offer a 30 day free trial, but its a really hand tool to have for modding)

From there you get the .fbx files to open in 3ds Max or blender or whatever and then follow the Track creation guide on naming the objects so GPB can use them. Maybe take a look here- http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=5800.0

Other members will be much better at explaining the whole process but getting the track into 3ds Max or blender get you started :)

Damn, you still have to buy the program and I cant afford that right now  :-[ Is it easy enough of a job if i can ask someone else to do the conversion? Maybe someone else would be interested too since I already have the original modders permission (as long they are credited).
