Post by: rodney007 on June 14, 2014, 11:45:44 AM
The Gent

Instructions:
Simulation -> Manual rider lean F/B L/R = OFF

Known issues:
In replay from distance rider position incorrect

This is my updated version with working dash, textured engine, leather seat, springer front end, rear fender, new tank, single frame chassis and more. My First official bike release so far and something I thought would be a bit different for the game. Hope you enjoy it and have fun!

Pretty fun ride. I use to have a lot of biker/chopper friends. This reminds me of several of the bikes. Except my two friends that were brothers they had one with the ape hangers were 41" tall. lol Had to be 6' at least to even ride it. Since your hand were straight above your head.

Yeah rode it around a few tracks. GP Bikes crashed on me a couple times. Now BreuquainVille crashed when ever I try to use the track. :/ I tried the gent on it, GP Bikes crashed. I tried another bike and GP Bikes crashed. Always worked before. I tried put a new install of the track, making a new profile didn't help. :/

I installed the track again, restarted my computer and it seems to be working now. Weird. I did notice the gent when I crashed on a couple different tracks it just froze the game. Then crashed.

I'd also add to rodney's benefit that asking for help normally brings better results if you ask politely, giving details of what you want and then waiting for a reply.
Going on a forum (not this one), posting (in the chat area ...) something like "I have a problem, help me" and not too much later something like "Very useful forum, nobody replies to me" is not gonna bring you a lot of help. Nor sympathy.

MaX, pissing off right now (but missing the toilet, cause I was still facepalming).

Jamoz, you are still making jokes, you naughty boy, you should know better.

[tempted to insert a facepalm here but somehow I can't any longer]

Just in case, let me strengthen the message: nobody here told him to stop doing what he's doing, nor that he's doing crap and neither (listen listen) to piss off in an unspecified direction.

If anything, he's the one with the slightly abused tone: we've seen it here and I've also seen it on the italian forum (others can confirm).

MaX.

P.S.
Yep, the sounds seems to be spot on (I only watched the youtube video though).

I have not quoted some pm replies from several users of the Italian forum, they were pretty negative. Out of fustration
I said something on the open chat box along the lines of "This forum is not very helpful". I'm sorry that you classed this as
"abusive" or "slightly" abusive.

It has been frustrating dealing with Italian, French and Spanish to figure out how to do things and finding people willing to help,
I don't think I have ever EVER asked for help in an impolite manner as I am very appreciative of help and super-thankful for those (you know who you are) who have helped me so far.

I was a bit pissed seeing a page full of facepalms this morning after spending now almost 20 hours doing this bike and getting it download ready for you guys - Maybe pissoff was a little to harsh for the community.

To those who have enjoyed the mod - thanks for your kind comments... I ride race bikes in real-life and personally think choppers and harley riders are a bit gay (personal opinion) although riding one in-game is hella fun!

Thanks for taking such an interest in the matter Max. Others don't need to confirm anything about what I said on Italian forum unless you want to drag this out further?

Oh* and to those that like it,... Update due tonight, have new chassis - tank - rear fender and non-turbo exhaust arrangement. This is just something to keep me busy until I get this TZ750 released

Good enough then for me. I also think it has been frustrating because you don't seem to speak italian or french (don't know for spanish) so you used english on these forums (where many do not speak english well enough to help you).

My mate has a 300bhp hiyabusa turbo! Not very reliable though.. Cant corner well either because the turbo sticks out too far..  ::)

Well I rode it around in DST. Start are a little hard but other then that rides fine. Replays if your at a certain distance his arms and feet are down like he is riding a GP Bike, then they spring up in to the new position when he gets closer to the camera..

I know this is just for fun.. But you released this one and have a revision going.. This doesn't have working gauges.. ;) (cough) TZ750 (cough)

Yeah the camera thing is strange, not sure yet where to adjust those settings and would take a while but if someone finds out where I can have a go.

Yup, a '91 GS500E engine with a IHI RHB3 turbo, my own design of pitot and plenum is next, the slingshot carbs work well for this sort of setup too so I may or may not see some okay numbers. 65hp is ideal being the bike it is in will only weigh 260lbs wet anyway, and without rear suspension and a rider (not my bike btw, building it for a friend) that isn't terribly concerned with handling issues it suits the job with a 160 section 17 inch wheel out back on a GSXR750 slingshot 4.5 inch rear wheel. The clutch will likely give out around 80hp anyway so keeping it mellow is not a bad thing. Like The Gent, it'll be geared short and handle like a chopper! lol :D

'Nother turbo bike in the shop too, MY Bandit 1200 (GSXR1100 bits and bobs to form a Falicon crank, knife edge rod, 300hp turbo monster bike... still in the works though!).  8)

(http://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu175/RatFighter/Chop/20140601_014203_zpse782553c.jpg) (http://s645.photobucket.com/user/RatFighter/media/Chop/20140601_014203_zpse782553c.jpg.html)

That busa looks nasty! Kinda numbers is that thing turning out? I'm yet to have my Bandit on the dyno after a fuel pump seized up on me last year and it got parked for a bit while I sort out the bottom end the rest of the way.  :-[

Nice bike you got there. I"m quite into engines and mechanical stuff also.
I was wanting to do a NSR250R as i have built a few in reality including a 300cc tyga.

That busa I think was the ghost rider one I just googled It. I already have dozens of engines and turbocharger systems I have modeled so wacking something together wont take long. I have made ferrari f40 engine, radial aero engines. Nissan rb26 too many :-) whatever the community wants i am happy to try and make it

Normally i wouldn`t ask for anything as i know how much work usually goes into creating mods/tracks etc. But with your moddeling skills & speed, i would like to ask if something like a naked bike along the lines of a KTM superduke, Ducati streetfighter or Kawasaki Z750/800 are in the pipeline. Combined with the proper physics bikes like these would be great fun on small tracks :)

And bikes like that are the only one`s we`re actually still missing in GPB. Hell, even a ktm duke 690 would be amazing :)

How about creating a classic 2 stroke 500 GP Bike, as we have plenty of 4 stroke MOD bikes already.  :P

I personally would like to see a 1982 Suzuki RG 500cc GP bike created. That would be a good addition to the classic category.  ;D

yeah finaly a Z750 ..hope you make the 07/10 moddel ..and the Z800 ..my mother will like that haha

Wow, the z750 was pretty bad at that time. I recall a serious mid-range naked shootout where the bike have also been taken to Monza (professional riders, including one that has had multiple wildcards for WSBK races). Despite monza being really en engine track, the z750 was something like 2 sec per lap slower than an hornet 600 and a street triple 675. The chassis was described as horrible.

@Jamoz: Badass Naked Bikeset (BnB): Super Duke R 1290, BMW S1000R and Aprilia Tuono (I hate the look, but it's a hell of a bike). And let's burn some rubber !

How about a Ducati streetfighter, Benelli cafe racer 1130, & RSV4 naked added to that BnB ;)

Always loved this bike <3

The Tuono is a naked RVS4.

I almost bought a Benelli TnT 899 years ago. But soon after they got bough by the chinese company, quality has started to free fall non-stop.
Every year is worse than the previous one. The latest bikes are borderline unsafe. A pity. The sound of a 1130 is just incredible.

Very funky. It was geared to about 90mph though and only about 20 more on all the numbers on the map. I went back to the stock map on it after that and have been putting together a new bit of replay footage of much more down to earth footage of it. Still was interesting to see the nay sayers about this bike, when I found it was rather easy to ride fast as there was tons of warning you were getting to the limit of what the bike was capable of.

Been doing rolling burnouts with it on a XBOX ONE controller with separate axis on the triggers. So much fun!  ;D

 ;D

I was thinking The Gent was going to remain a WIP for quite some time. That sounds awesome that more of it is finished/updated. Thanks for investing so much time into bringing a new bike to GP Bikes! Between this thing and the TZ750, GP Bikes is gaining some momentum outside of pure, and modern race bikes. That is something I had figured unlikely to see anytime soon.

Was wondering if you were going to make a version for Beta 5b?

I put in the new sprocket info and chain info to make it to work. So I could use it offline.

I could add it to the Bike MOD, just would be better if it wasn't listed as a GP500 bike. Since we have categories now. And if someone wanted to host a old school race. This being a GP500 it would come up in that category. Maybe change it to Road Bike, or Road Bike 500. If there are other bigger engine road bikes, to separate it from other road bikes.

Last note, the tires are very reflective, like they are metal. hehehe.

Ouch, you don't know what happens last weeks.
Rodney decided to stop the production of his bikes after some hard speaking in his threads. No big chance to see him back.
PS: you will not find any threads or post about that because all have been removed.
I was like you, the 750 has many beautiful days in front of it. (don't  know if it is said like this in english)

Yep, I am sure, rodney would have provided the community with a lot of awesome bikes but I can fully understand that he is not willing to do that anymore.
