Wildcard Closed

Wildcards will only be used if riders drop from the initial 16 riders who signed up.

Excluded Riders

Rules

Drivers that have signed up and dont appear on the race day, without giving a 24 hour notice will be excluded from any future events i organize.
(any unforeseen circumstances like no internet connection, family matters, will not be counted towards this rule)
Its seems only fair to do it this way because you take a spot on the grid which could have been given to someone else who could have done the race.

ofc you can, you can have 16 if you want. every rider has his own racenumber in the results (not on bike) so its not a problem.
Its only a bit confusing in the replay  ;D Make sure you wear different helmets  ;)

Dont know how easy this would be but in future should we have 2 servers? One normal and one with NDS as a backup!?

Purely because a rubbered in track on GPB is almost sexual.. Lol

I would consider firing up a 2nd server if people wanted to try that, if and when I can! Or would it be a waste of time?

2 servers is as easy as clicking a button.
Im only using NDS tracks cause this seems to be less prone to Core.exe during races.
Draw back of having 2 servers side by side is that you would practice on the server with groove and then you go race in a server without groove (NDS) and you crash, and you think why did this happen ?

I also like to ride on tracks with generated groove, if beta6 comes out i will organize one to test it again.
Then we can also try some rain settings.

erro core
Im sorry for you guys, i cant help it.

One thing to keep in mind, dont switch bikes before you enter the server it will definitely give you a core, maybe even before you enter.
What i do is i select the bike i want too race with, then usually it gives a core.exe so game closes, If not i close the game.
Relaunch it, and then enter the race server, stable as a hard D*$k wrapped in plaster.

Hi all,

Congratulations to 3.Nuovaic for the win

Great race, surprised to be out in front for so long, but tried to keep steady times, had a nice little battle with 13.SuperTaranta during the race, and did a Crutchlow on the last lap while trying to take 5.Hezio who I thought he was 2nd lol, my fault, so lost the podium, but great stuff, everything is getting quite stable eh at least for some of us, shame about 15.Alby46.

I'll be in for the next old school when it's up.

Cheers all

JJ

I also think we lost one of the young ones which has been with us for a long time.......

Stout Johnson, he just will not race in an Oldschool race anymore. something like Old farts..blablabla ;D
I respect his wishes, but i miss him during the races (no im not gay  ;)),

As for Alby, he seems to have bad luck everytime hes on one of our races.
I hope the luck will come to him shortly, hes a good racer with a good pace.

As for all the others...you are all a bunch of freaking Wa$&*kers  ;D

Hope to catch you all on the next event. thx for an enjoyable race.

And indeed, I always look and am disappointed that our Stout can't make the 500 races, we had such fun in the src champs and it's just not right when he's not there.

Dibu, thank you man, much appreciated.

Hi Gzehoo.

I have to admit I'm not a big fan of music overlays on sports videos, I would rather have a vocal event report overlaid instead, or just the normal engine sounds, but that's probably just "old fuddy-duddy" me not keeping up with the younger generation. Lol  :P ;D

But having said that it's a nice video with some good action shots.  ;) 8)

Well done mate!  ;D

HAHA  ;D thank you for your nice words Peter (and also John)! I very, very much enjoy racing with you guys too, really. But if I have the choice I prefer events with 4strokers (esp. the MotoGP). Quite honestly I despise the 2-strokes, I just don't like that engine characteristics and also the sound is a turn-off for me. I think if I would have grown up with 2strokers and watched MotoGP back in the days when it was all 2-strokers, maybe I would also love them today. So, I understand how you may like them, but me personally, I do not. Although I only have good memories for the old 500cc championship back with beta3 - that were some nice races and we had a lot of fun!  I hope we continue to meet at 4-stroker events in the future ;)

Concerning your Monza event: It sure looks like it was a thrilling event and I especially like to see that John won, Peter finished a great 4th place (with only 2 crashes) and my teammate Warlock also a decent 6th. First 3 riders finished within 8s (2nd and 3rd almost equal), the first 8 riders were within 40s - so obviously a very thrilling race.  :)

Im sorry Yohji, i will stick with Sunday evenings, Saturdays are slow days for GPBikes (peeps going out, getting drunk that kind of thing). Friday's i dont know really, but most of the time im too tired to even lift my hands or feet.  ;D

So in short Oldschool will stay on Sunday evenings, unless there is a championship going on on that day :P

Last time I tested 1000cc bike on Monza and I saw that comparing with 500cc bike my best lap was almost the same.

Maybe in the future there would be one race with 500/1000 classes - like MotoGP season 2002.

It's not that I'm not 500cc fan - sometimes I'm more nervous during ride with 1000cc bike. But the confrontation e.g. Old School vs New Era could be interesting...

I think I'm correct in saying that during that initial phase of converting to the MotoGP era, the bikes were initially 800cc 4 strokes?? Also less power than they are today.

But I agree, it would make for an interesting event, and also I would suspect very popular as it would be attractive to both 2 and 4 stoke fans alike; but to be fair there would certainly have to be a modded 4 stroke bike with less power and also less tyre grip like they had in those days, like which the 500cc bikes have in GPB(less grip than the 4 stroke bikes), because for sure the current GPB 4 stroke 1000cc bikes are a good 2 - 3 secs faster than the 500cc bikes(in my opinion, but that's maybe because I'm a crap rider. Lol).

But yes, I'd be all for it Gzehoo... It would be a great event!  ;D ;D

@Boerenlater : If you go to pits and come back out his skin will show.  ;)

For some unknown reason, GPB sometimes doesn't show the skin of riders that join the server after yourself until you have pitted and come back on track.

Does anyone know the reason GPB does this at times???

The same happens in Kart Racing Pro. I believe it is inherent to the engine. Best way to fix it (Just like HawkUK said) is to go to pits and go back in track.
